Chapter Two Collin reached in his pocket for the ring box. Instead of the velvet box left to him by his mother, his fingers wrapped around cold steel. The horse twitch pinched his index finger as he grabbed hold of it and laid it on the dining room table. He'd come over to the Bennett's after working on one of his cousin Darcy's prized stallions. That Thoroughbred had needed first an x-ray, followed by joint injections.
