Ann listened attentively as Troy spoke, she wondered what he wanted to talk about.
"so, I called you yesterday night but you didn't pick up. The call was cut off I think" Troy explained.
"ohh, I didn't realise you did" Ann said
"I was going to tell you that I finally got the promotion, My boss felt my project was the best and he had also organised a party for me and that was the party I was in. I could have called earlier in the day but I had forgot my phone at home that day" Troy explained further at at that point Ann felt even more stupid and ashamed.
"how have you been by the way" Troy asked
"very well" Ann said in a low tone.
"I was thinking of making a trip down to new York next month. it's been months that we haven't seen, I miss you" Troy said.
"I miss you too" Ann said
