This event happened behind the grove in the park where they kissed each other for the first time. Regarding this place was extremely memorial, they specially arrived at it again. The same as what happened to them last time, when they heard some other tourists walking towards their position, they released each other in a hurry, to prevent others from seeing their unusual behavior.
In the evening of the previous day, the opening ceremony of the 7th CISM Military World Games was held in Wuhan Sports Center, which was located in Wuhan, namely the capital city of Hubei Province, China. Several high school classmates of Choi Hun-ae was undergraduates in Wuhan; interested in this event, one of them watched the ceremony in field.
Choi Hun-ae also watched the ceremony on TV. When she saw North Korean athletes (certainly, all of them were soldiers) coming on stage, she thought of an experience of Choi Seong-hyang, who once told it to her.
At the age of 19, Choi Seong-hyang started his undergraduate period in the Department of Economics, Yeonsei University. Two years later, having compulsory military service, Choi Seong-hyang applied suspension of schooling and joined the army of South Korea. After a complete training for recruits, he was assigned to the famous village of Panmunjom, as a new member of a South Korean infantry troop. Standing guard on the south side of the military demarcation line between two Korean political states, he unprecedentedly witnessed North Korean soldiers.
“They were all abnormally thin,” introducing this experience to his eldest daughter, Choi Seong-hyang spoke out what he never forgot. “And their faces were all pallid. I knew the reason: after the Soviet Union disintegrated, North Korea lost the most important patron; as a result, her economy was seriously damaged. The soldiers were all too hungry to keep themselves strong.”
“What’s your emotion then, dad?” asked Choi Hun-ae.
“Of course I felt sad,” answered Choi Seong-hyang. “Although I opposed the political viewpoints of North Koreans, they were after all our family members, as Korea should be a family. This was why I wanted to help them.”
Choi Seong-hyang was indeed a kindhearted person. As a rich South Korean merchant in China, he was entitled to spend his incomes in personal enjoyments; however, a fact was that he often support Chinese charities. Moved by his philanthropic acts, Choi Hun-ae once prayed to God, begging the latter’s blessing her father forever.
Regretfully, it seemed that God would not intervene in the economy of humanity. Since 2018, the world economy significantly declined; contacting his eldest daughter in the fall of 2019, Choi Seong-hyang admitted: “Although my enterprises remained remained operational, their financial conditions have been worse than before.”
Choi Hun-ae was sorry to hear that; what caused her to feel much awfuller was her being unable to assist her father. After she told this opinion to Choi Seong-hyang, however, the latter comforted her: “Nothing serious, Hun-ae. I’ll overcome these difficulties.”
“Although I can’t help dad in resolving economic problems,” guessed Choi Hun-ae. “My going home will let him feel happy, I’m sure.”
This was why she desired the first winter vocation during her undergraduate period to start as soon as possible. Certainly, she had to face another problem: it meant that she would have to separate herself from Choi So-dong again.
After the winter vocation did start at the end of December 2019, therefore, she had s*x with her lover, who specially came to Seoul to meet her, before she left South Korea and went home in China.
“I love you so much, baby,” having finished the s****l behavior, Choi Hun-ae kissed Choi So-dong and said.
“You said it so many times, mommy,” replied the latter.
“Are you bored?” Choi Hun-ae, feeling it unexpected, asked in a hurry.
“Never,” Choi So-dong answered. “I mean, although you said it so many times, I’ll be never bored.”
Feeling a sense of relief, Choi Hun-ae laughed. Right after this, however, she said to Choi So-dong: “After going home in China, baby, I won’t meet you until more than two months later. Although my family will come back to Korea to spend Chinese New Year with my grandparents, I don’t have any chance to meet you again. Because of this, I feel so awful.”
Although she was also sad, Choi So-dong forced a smile and comforted her lover: “All right, mommy. As long as our hearts are together, the temporary separation is never terrible.”
On December 28, 2019, Choi Hun-ae arrived at her home in China. Three days later, at the last noon during this year, she suddenly saw a Chinese news on her mobile phone. According to the title of this news, a kind of pneumonia the cause of which was not confirmed yet was discovered in Wuhan.
“Wuhan?” Choi Hun-ae, remembering the opening ceremony of the 7th CISM Military World Games, regarded this city as significant. After watching the news body, she knew more details. For example, the National Health Commission of the PRC had dispatched a panel to Wuhan for a survey; Wuhan’s government had demanded all hospitals in this city to pay attention to this mysterious disease.
Sending a message to her lover, Choi Hun-ae mentioned this event; after knowing it, Choi So-dong reminded her: “You should be careful, mommy. I wonder whether this disease will be very dangerous.”
Howbeit Choi Hun-ae replied: “You don’t need to be so anxious, baby. I’m familiar with Chinese people, who’ll do their best to resolve such problem. What’s more, Wuhan is far away from the city where I live in. Even if the disease is as dangerous as supposed by you, it’s rarely possible to affect this city.”
Regarding such viewpoint as reliable, Choi So-dong also relaxed herself.
