Luca's POV
I hear Lia slam the door, the sound echoing through the hallway like a gunshot. I want to hold her close and comfort her when she spins out of control but I know Lia needs a moment to process everything. The bombshell her parents dropped isn't something anyone could easily digest.
Downstairs, chaos erupts.
"I'm going up there," her mother announces, already heading for the stairs.
"No." My voice rings with authority, stopping her in her tracks. "You've done enough damage for one day. I'll handle this. I'll speak to Lia" I say, getting up from my seat and moving forward.
