JACE WAS AWARE that he was crossing the wrong aisle. He was even conscious of how many corners he passed by before reaching the rooftop. Laying next to Kimberly sounded like a brilliant idea. What could be better than breathing her scent, feeling her skin, then maybe if he was lucky enough, hearing her deliriously mo*n his name? That would be a nice way to end the day and cut all the noises inside his head. But that wasn't what he did. Rather, he found himself walking to a lonely wooden bench in that secluded place. Watching the tiny lights from the small town below while feeling the strong wind, he dots of bitter familiarity. If he recalled it right, the weather was the same that day. It was September, the season of the starless sky and hard rains. He took a breath to calm himself. T
