IT WAS PAST MIDNIGHT, and yet Kimberly couldn't bring herself to sleep. It wasn't her to visit the room he always slept in during holy hours, but then it was her feet that dragged her there. The library was as messy as her head. There was a broken digital clock on the floor, shards scattered as if it was smashed in total hate against the wall next to it. His books were everywhere. The shelf where he usually kept them was broken with some missing layers on it. A hole on the desk that was big enough to insert a knuckle in and the scent of alcohol, more potent than beer, was lingering in the air. It wasn't rocket science that Jace went ballistic hours ago. She could tell. = Her steps were heavy when she walked out of that place. She didn't even bother to turn the lights in the corridor.
