Yvonne had heard every word Tim said. That meant everything Tim had said earlier was a lie. He had only deliberately flattered Yvonne and said nice things so that she would forgive John.
The insults Tim hurled at Yvonne afterward were what he had truly wanted to say.
"Yvonne, stop right there!" Tim chased after her from behind, then ordered the servants, "Stop her!"
Tim could not let Yvonne escape. If Yvonne reported him and John now, everything they had done would be ruined.
Tim had to lock Yvonne up. Even if he had to beat her, he had to force her into submission. Yvonne had to sign the letter of forgiveness.
Mary had no choice but to block Yvonne's path. "Ms. Stewart, please sit down and have a calm discussion with Mr. Stewart."
