About last night.

Nicholas POV

I woke up to my wolf growling in my head. I didn't know how long I have been asleep but the rays of the sun that illuminated my room confirmed that it was morning already. whosoever entered my room had opened the windows for them to wake me up because I hate opening my window and instead, I enjoy how dark my room usually looks. "oh goodness!" I heard a voice mutter beside me and I felt someone push my head backward. I groaned and turned to the other side and then I felt my butt kicked. it was so painful that I screamed out loud. I jumped out of the bed and turned to attack the person who had attacked me in my sleep.

"How dare you?" I shouted and throw a punch towards the person but my fist was grabbed by that person and I was pushed backward I almost fell to the ground but he helped me.

"Are you okay?" Raymond waved his hand in my face. He was in the room with me and from the look on his face, he doesn't look too happy to be in my room which made me wonder what had gone wrong.

"what did I do wrong?" I rubbed my forehead trying so hard to remember what I had done the previous night. from my Blurry memory, I remembered going to the club fo get a drink. I had wanted to have a drink of the humans and go home but it became worse when it demanded a drink that could make a werewolf go crazy. After getting drunk, I remembered the royal guards who I tried to avoid seeing drove me back home after finding me at the bar. when I reached the Royal mansion, the first place I headed to was Angelica's room. I gasped as the memory came rushing in on what I did the night before.

The night before

Angelica!" I had no idea how I made it to her room but somehow, I found myself roaming around her room until my hand found her down as I was able to enter her room. I shouted her name yet again when I didn't get a response from her. "Angelica." I burst into a smile when I saw her walk out of the bathroom and headed towards me.

"what are you doing here?" she asked me sounding annoyed as if she didn't want me there but I had to be there To make her understand that I was done chasing her.

I belched and my body moved on its own as I hugged her so tight that it looked as if she was about to disappear. "I tried so hard to forget you but here I am to you," I chuckled and kissed her forehead. Angelica and I have come a long way and it was so sad that all that love we shared was going to be destroyed in the twinkle of an eye. "But do you know why I am here tonight Angelica?" I grabbed her hand and pulled her closer to myself."I am going to forget you and everything that we had together," I announced, and I saw the reaction in her eyes. she was surprised to hear me say that but it was the only way to let go of her. "you and I are not made for one another, and even if I tried to force it then you'll only continue to have problems with Alaric."

I had thought about what I could do to stop acting like a lost puppy and this was the only way to end things. it was a sign that Angelica and I were not meant to be together and I had to accept that fact.

" Are you leaving me?" she asked.

"is that not what you want when you slept with Alaric and also got engaged to him," I pointed to the ring on her middle finger. "I am going to take it as a yes," I said and she didn't reply to me. "I'll surely be here wishing you and my brother well because you both deserve it," I hiccuped and let go of her hand. Even though I was sad about letting her go, it was all going to be for the best. I heaved a deep sigh and let my legs carry me toward her bed and I fell on top of it ready to let everything that I feel go.

I had hoped that sleeping would make it all go away but a few seconds into my rest, I was tapped by Angelica I could hear her voice as she called for me.

"prince Nicholas!" she shouted my name but I didn't reply to her. when she hit me again, I grabbed her hand and she fell on top of me "what are you doing?" she shouted at me and tried to free herself from my hold. in the process, her hand knocked down the pillow beside us and I heard her mutter a word I could barely hear. I focused on her lips and I felt so tempted that I held her tighter and kissed her on the lips.

"you are beautiful," I said in between the kiss.

"oh goodness," I rubbed my forehead as I stared at Raymond who glared at me like he wanted to kill me. "why are you looking at me like that?" he asked

"I thought zoning out meant that you remembered everything that happened?"

Remember everything that happened? I couldn't comprehend what he meant by that so I shrugged my shoulder. "stop acting like a child Nicholas. I know that you want her and love her but you need to know that she is engaged to our brother and I am not going to let any girl come in between you too."

"stop acting as if you don't know that Alaric and I never really got along in the past!" I retorted. "I don't know what I did last night because I don't remember so please enlighten me!"

Raymond frowned and tutted. "figure that out yourself!" he yelled at me and walked out of the room.
