Jade POV

Present

My eyes almost popped out of the socket when I saw Angelica walk in accompanied by Donna, her servant. When her eyes landed on me, she walked towards me and pulled me off the ground. Before I could say a word, she slapped me so hard on the face that the disguise I had on suddenly wore off. She also yanked the wig off my head revealing my bouncy curls.

Everyone in the room gasped as my real face got revealed. They were probably disgusted from seeing my face just by the look on their faces.

I had never in my entire life let others see my real face as I was always in disguise. The only person who had seen my bare face was my best friend who was a bartender.

"How dare you lie to everyone and steal my identity!'' Angelica yelled at me pretending as if she wasn't the one who had planned everything.

"so this is you?" The Queen chuckled and moved closer to me. "This is you !" she laughed again and slapped the paper in her hand on my face. "if this is you then I must say that you have some guts!" she yelled at me.

"This isn't my fault !" my voice shakes terribly as I tried to defend myself. "I didn't do anything wrong but follow orders !"

"whose orders was it to kidnapped me and attacked me!"

That was a lie. How dare she even tell lies with a straight face? I frowned as I looked at her playing the victim card. She placed her well-manicured fingers on her face and started crying. "how dare you? worthless peasant! You have been stalking weeks before you entered the royal home!" she shouted at me.

"what the hell are you saying!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Angelica sounded so confusing that it made all the royal family stare at me as if I had grown two heads and lay about the whole situation. "you are the one who called me and ordered me to enter the royal home as you," I defended myself but got pushed to the ground again by one of the Royal guards.

I bite my lower lips as I landed on the ground with my hands. I could have landed on my stomach but protecting my child comes first. Whether the royal family accepts my child or not doesn't mean that I'll let him die.

"stop talking if you don't want your tongue to be cut off," The Alpha King threatened me but that didn't stop me from continuing talking hoping that someone amongst the royal family would see the truth in my tone and listen to me.

"I knew she was a different person just by her character!" Alaric commented and scoffed. "can't believe that my brother fell for a peasant and slept with her," Alaric mocked Nicholas and tutted. "with how perfect you are, one would think that you would never do a thing like this but it's surprising to see that you are not what you seem to be," He shook his head pitifully at his brother.

"That is enough!" The king warned him. "I am not going to allow another family feud over a low-class wolf," The king stated and then pointed toward me. "I will not allow your sins to go unpunished!" The king's declaration caused my heart to race so quickly that it made me let out a deafening scream.

I held my chest as I lowered my head to the ground making sure that I didn't make eye contact with any of the royal family. "I know..." my voice broke as I stuttered unable to form any words. I cried so hard that it affected my vision making it hazy and hard to see. My heart aches badly as I knew that no one would come to my rescue not even Nicholas.

He probably didn't recognize me as the woman he had a one-night stand with because I was also wearing a disguise that night.

"I didn't do anything wrong," I finally summoned the courage to speak. "if you are going to punish me then maybe you should do the same with Angelica," I said and raised my head to face her. "she hired me to come here and pretend as her!" I revealed even though I knew that no one would believe my story. It was pointless but I wasn't going to back down without a fight.

"why would I need to force you down here huh!" Angelica scoffed and dropped pictures in front of me. "This is you having a meeting with the man who kidnapped me and after then, this is you pretending to be me in a secret place after you had successfully kidnapped me!" she kicked the pictures in my face.

I picked up the pictures and gasped when I realized that it was an image of myself and Mr. Gerald, the man who had introduced me to Angelica. The other pictures of me were of when I had dressed up like her and taken a lesson for a week. I held the pictures in my hand and raised my head to face the royal family. Just like me, they all had the pictures in their hands and they were looking at them.

"This is a lie!" I shouted and started tearing the pictures apart like a beast. "This is a conspiracy against me because I didn't do any of this !" I yelled at her. I stood up with the torn pictures in my hand and threw them on her face. "how dare you to lie against me huh!" I grabbed her by the neck. "This was all your plan from the beginning! How could you rat Mr. Gerald out just to destroy me!"

"Get her!" The Queen ordered the guards and I was dragged backward. Two of the guards held my hand restraining me from attacking Angelica.

"your highness," Angelica cried and rubbed her throat. "you need to take her away because she is dangerous. Who knows who she will impersonate next !" Angelica shouted and continued rubbing her throat.

"very well then," The Alpha king nodded in agreement and it made me lose all faith in the royal family. Everything that was said about them in the past was the truth and there were no lies about it.

The royal family according to the rumors I have heard about them were cruel and would do anything to avoid having a bad name or anything that could taint their image.

"why are you not giving me the chance to prove myself? What about Mr. Gerald huh? How about him?" I yelled at Angelica. "I thought the Royal family were smart but how could they believe your words without any other proves except our pictures huh!"

The Queen shouted at me and pointed a finger at me. "Don't you dare try to talk about the Royal family, you low class!" she warned me. "we've already got your partner and he had confessed to all your evils!"

My eyes widened at the sudden reveal. "what.... What ?"

"is anyone out there!" The king shouted and three guards trooped in.

"your highness," They all bowed.

"Bring the new prisoner,"The king ordered them and they bowed and headed out of the throne room and soon returned with Mr Gerald. He looked like he had suffered from hell and had just returned from it. His face was covered with dried blood like he had been beaten over and over again. His hands was chained like a hardened criminal.

Mr Gerald was pushed forward by the guards until he was standing by my side. "Tell her what you told us three days ago!" The king's voice screams authority and not even the poor man and he blurted out lies from his stinking mouth.

"This lady right here," Mr Gerald pointed to me. "she is an impersonator and had paid me a huge amount of money to kidnap lady Angelica. "

I screamed at him and growled even though I was wolfless. He had told a terrible lie against me without blinking which means that there was no escape from me. I should have known that Angelica was going to ruined my life and even though I got the signals from her annoying calls, I couldn't figure it out and had fell for her sweet talks and the money she offered.

"what other lies do you want us to believe huh?" Angelica asked. "you dare attacked a Royal wolf and now, your life is on the line. You even seduced the prince and forced him to sleep with you until you got pregnant for him!"

"I didn't sleep with him!" I shouted and sniffled. "I....." my voice broke as I looked at Nicholas whose eyes were somewhere else. He didn't even tried to look at me and no one needed to tell me that her was avoiding my gaze.

"you have nothing else to say young woman and since you have made a fool out of the royal family then you need to pay!" The Alpha king announced. "Guards! Take her back to her cell while she awaits her punishment!"

"wait!" I shouted as the guards started dragging me away. "Prince Nicholas! Remember that night you got drunk and had s*x with a stranger. It was me!" I revealed and was able to get his attention. He raised his head to face me. "remember that night please!" I begged him.

"stop!" The Queen ordered the guards who were about to reach the entrance of the throne room. "what is she saying Nicholas? You had s*x with a stranger?" The Queen inquired.

"please tell them! You have to remember!" I begged him as he was my only chance. He was the only one who could saved me from dying with my child.

"shut up young lady!" The Queen shut me up. "how true is this Nicholas?"

I smiled at Nicholas as his eyes never left mine and hoped that he would say the truth but when he opened his mouth and answered the queen, my world came crashing down.
