Revealing Secrets

Jade POV

it's been three days since the Luna Queen forced me to have a paternity test and three days since I have been in the cold cell. because I couldn't feel my wolf, it was hard to survive in such a situation and since there was no heater in the cell, I rubbed my hands together every few seconds to keep myself warm.

The Disguise of Angelica that I had on was starting to get sticky and I needed to change it.

If I spend more days inside the cell then I could be forced to remove the mask from my face and everyone would see my face.

I waited for the Queen to return and revealed my secrets and each time I heard the door click open, my heart jumped in anticipation. most times, I think that it was the Luna Queen returning with the paternity result but to my disappointment, it always turned out to be a servant who brings my food.

she comes three times and made sure that I didn't miss my meal. To keep surviving for the sake of my child, I made sure I eat the meal and I made sure that I didn't skip any of it.

on the third day, I was laying on the ground of the cell with my eyes closed, my hands placed on my stomach when the door leading into the cell clicked open and I didn't bother standing because I had thought that it was the normal servant who bought me food but, to my utmost surprise.

Three guards marched in and opened the cell door. I jumped to my feet and moved back a bit hugging my body while my heart beat rapidly.

I was scared of what was about to happen.

one of the guards grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the cell. "where are you taking me to?" I demanded to know and tried so hard to wriggle my hand out of their stronghold but one of the guards stopped me by tightening his grip on my hand. I screamed and kicked but none of it work out for me to be freed.

Everything that I did turn out to be useless. I was dragged out of the cell like a ragged doll and taken to the main mansion. The guards didn't mutter words even when I didn't stop yelling. They paid no attention to me as if I wasn't there and it was until they reached the Royal throne room that one of them said something.

"I knew she was a w***e," The guard's voice echoed in my voice and I turned my face back to look at the guards who had called me that but I was pushed forward until I landed on my knees.

"ouch," I moaned in pain and held my stomach. I was too focused on my stomach that I had no idea that the Royal Family was there with us in the throne room.

I slowly raised my eyes and saw their glaring eyes on me. Every one of them was present including Nicholas.

He looked well and I saw that there was no sign of illness or injury to him. He was perfectly okay but his facial expression shows that he wasn't happy. He was frowning at me and his eyes suddenly became dark and gloomy. His face was impossible to read and just like the rest of his family, he wore a look that could kill.

I know my secrets were out but it made me wonder why they all stared at me as if they wanted me to disappear from the surface of the earth.

"I shall begin," The Luna Queen beckoned to the guard to bring me forward. They obeyed her and I was dragged towards her like a rag doll. "There you are," she scoffed and walked to my front.

"Guards," she shouted and they pulled me up as if they understood what she had said. "hold her hands," she yelled.

Hold her hands for? The slaps came from both sides of my face and I lost count of how many times she had slapped me on the face. when she was done, I could barely see a thing as I scrunched my eyes for a few seconds. I saw the stars without having to visit the sky and the Queen made it possible with thousands of slaps.

I deserve it, I agreed and licked my bursting lips as blood trailed down to my chin. I took a deep breath and fluttered my eyes open as I braced myself for the worst.

"Who the hell are you?" she dropped the bombshell and my eyes widened as soon as I heard her say that.

if she was asking that kind of question that it means that she had found out my secrets. I looked around the throne room staring into everyone's faces to see if they would look surprised but none of them show any sign but continue glaring at me.

it made me wonder how they were able to find out my secrets since all the Queen did was a paternity test to confirm who the child belonged to.

"your highness .....I....." I tried to defend myself and hoped she could hear me out but my heart jumped and it went thump thump as the king stood up from where he was seated.

"Enough!" he shouted and headed towards me. "Your secrets had been revealed so stop talking and listen to me, you worthless girl. who the hell are you and how are you associated with Nicholas!" The king demanded and snapped his finger.

"I...." I visibly gulped as he moved closer to me and only stopped when he was standing beside the Queen. "I must..."

"Answer me!" he screamed and I started shaking in the arms of the guards as I feared for my life. "if you don't give me an answer right away then I shall order for you to be beheaded!" he threatened me.

Tears rolled down uncontrollably from my face and I bites my lower lips as I thought about what to say. just what the hell happened in three days and how the hell did they find out about my secrets?

"why are we wasting time with a low life like her when she can be killed for impersonation!" prince Alaric shouted and pointed a finger at me. "you dare pretend to be Angelica and lied to the Royal family ! " he scoffed placing his hands on his waist. "I must say that you had us fooled because none of us could figure that you were a different person!"

"I...." more tears rushed out. I looked towards Nicholas hoping that he could see the tears in my eyes and come to my rescue.

At least I was carrying his child and even though he might not remember, I just wanted someone to take my side.

"your highness," I summoned the courage to speak. "I am sorry," I muttered.

"useless!" The Luna Queen spat angrily. "you tried to ruin the Royal family by impersonating a noble blood then you seduced the Royal prince and got pregnant thinking that you will continue fooling us right?" she grabbed my chin and turned my head sideways.

"little wolf," The Queen chuckled and pinched my chin. "your plans have failed because we found out about you," she lets go of my chin and snapped her fingers.

"you may enter!" she shouted. The doors leading to the throne room burst open and I turned my head to see what was happening. my eyes almost fell out of the socket when I saw her walking in.

Angelica smiled and walked in elegantly into the throne room. she walked past me and stopped when she stood in front of the king. "your highness," she greeted. "I am here now!" she announced.
