The scandal

Jade POV “And why are we here?” Prince Alaric asked. I couldn't believe he was seated in front of me. His blue eyes were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen in my entire life. They were bright enough to make a woman drool, and I was one of the women. His straight jawline and pointed nose make it hard to even hear what he was saying. I was whipped and had forgotten that he was asking me a question. “Lady Angelina,” he tapped his fingers on the desk. “I am talking to you. “ I cleared my throat and bowed my head. “Apologies your highness, I had forgotten that I am supposed to speak to you,” I smiled. Prince Alaric winked at me and adjusted himself on his chair. He stretched forth his hand on the table towards mine and grabbed it. “Our wedding is coming soon and even though I would rather not be tied down in a marriage with you, I'll still be needing a Luna Queen when I become the Alpha king,” he boasted and laughed. What an arrogant prince! I thought. Just as I was about to reply to him, The black man who attended to me when I first arrived came with five waitresses with plates and bowls in their hands. “Your highness, we have made a special meal for you and your guest,” he clapped his hands. One of the waitresses dropped a plate of grilled red lobster with garlic parsley in front of the prince and me. “Thank you,” I said to the chef. The prince ignored him and stared into my eyes, waiting for what I had to say. “Here is château Ste. Michelle,” The man took the wine from one of the waitresses and showed it to the prince before dropping it on the table. One glass of wine was placed beside my plate, while the other was placed beside the prince's table. “If you are done then please go,” The prince ordered in a stern tone as if he were getting impatient by how the Man was wasting his time or towards me who had not said anything ever since we arrived at the restaurant. “Yes your highness," The man clapped his hands and walked away, and the waitresses followed him, leaving the prince and me together with the prince's bodyguards and Mr. Gerald watching us from the opposite. When Mr. Gerald obsidian eyes met with mine, he signaled to me and I quickly understood what he was trying to say. “Your highness,” I said and picked up the brown envelope laying on my lap. I bought out the pictures and laid them on the table. “I can't be with you because I know you are a womanizer,” I bite my lips as I forced the words out. It sounded as if I were rejecting him. I thought Prince Alaric would be surprised by the pictures, but instead, he burst into laughter and pointed to the pictures on the table. “This is Arania,” he pointed to the first picture. “She used to be my Wednesday booty call,” he smirked at me and pointed to the next girl. “This is Mary, she always satisfied me so well and this is Kendra,” he pointed to the third picture. “She was great in bed but used to be a gold digger and this is Joanna, I never dated her cause her ass was plastic, and the last one is Maria, she was the best and the part of it is that I am still seeing her,” he said and then stared into my eyes. “What else? Ain't you forgetting somebody?” Somebody? I thought about what he meant by that, but then he pointed his finger at me. “What?” I asked, trying so hard to sound as polite as I could. The prince was just like they portrayed him on the news. He was a chronic womanizer, but I had no idea why he was pointing at me. The job was to put him in a scandal, but now it seems like I was the one caught in his web. “Don't act like you don't know what I am saying, Angelina,” he smirked at me. “You and I still had a great night two days ago, so I don't understand why you are here and ending things. You know why I wanted you so badly. Being with you would increase my support when I finally become the Alpha king,” he stated. I couldn't believe what I just heard. I never thought that Angelina and Prince Alaric were a thing. I turned to face Mr. Gerald to see if he would say something, but he avoided my eyes and looked away instead. I clenched my fists and heaved a sigh. They had made a fool out of me. “Your highness, I….” I tried to say something, but he shut me up. “If this is about Nicholas, then you don't have to hide it. I know you and Nicholas like each other, but does he know that you are seeing me?” Prince Alaric asked. I blinked twice when I heard that. I couldn't imagine that the sophisticated daughter of the north was playing games with two werewolf princes but since it was my job and whatever happened between them was none of my business, I decided to reply to him with the best answers. “I want to be with him, just like you've said. It's him that I want,” I said. Prince Alaric chuckled and slammed his hands on the table. “Why are you acting like this when I said that I wanted you, huh? Of course, everyone wants Nicholas because he is the better child!” He yelled at me. I closed my eyes and traveled to my mind, trying so hard to form a lie that could save me from that situation. It was a business anyway so whatever I said wasn't going to mean anything or affect me because I'll disappear once I have gotten my money. “I am pregnant!” I shouted. And just like I said that I saw the camera's light flashing at me. It happened so fast as the reporters stormed the restaurant at that time with their cameras and microphones rushing towards us but were stopped by the guards. There were at least ten of them, all looking hungry for information from us. “Are you pregnant for prince Alaric?” “Are these the women prince Alaric is seeing?” “Should we expect A royal baby?” “Are you getting married soon, since you announced your marriage a month ago?” I bite my lips, unable to say anything as the lights from the cameras flashed into my eyes. I ruffled the wig on my head and looked directly into Alaric's eyes. His fists were balled, and he gave me an angry look that looks as if he was about to kill me. I bite my lips and wondered why I had said that I was pregnant. It was the only thing that came to my mind, and I truly blame myself for saying that. “What should I do?” I bite my lips as I looked towards Mr. Gerald, who had a look of shock written clearly on his face. He never expected that I'll say something like that. “Lady Angelina,” one of the reporters finds her way towards me and asked what I dreaded. “Are you expecting a child?” She asked. I visibly gulped and turned to face the prince. Oh, no! I am tossed.
