First Encounter

Linda's pov

"Wakey wakey...."that's my younger sister trying to wake me up.it seems am late for school already but its understandable since i slept late last night.had to study for the upcoming test.We are a family of 7,my dad stepmum and my 4siblings.We are 3 girls and 2boys.we are not rich but we can afford the basic needs.So i wake up and go take a bathe then get ready for school.Since our school is abit far we always start up early since we walk all the way.At exactly 5:45am am ready to start off.So i take my backpack and head off.Me and my eldest sister study in the same school but since we dont get along very well i always try to stay away from her.So we dont even go to school together.I always go with my Lydia who's my best friend but today i decided to go alone so as not to be late.Lydia always makes me late and since we go to a public school the punishment for lateness is very harsh.

Just as i get to the road i hear a painful groan so i decide to go see what's really happening.On arriving at the scene i see a man who seems to be in alot of pain.I know it's dangerous to try help someone at this time of the morning since the road is still deserted and it also still abit dark.But i cant just leave the man there so i go to him and inquire what had happened to him.He tells me that he was having his morning run when some burglars came from nowhere and shot him on the chest.He said that he was new at our town so he wasn't aware that it was a dangerous place.I told him that it was not a dangerous place and maybe rhe the robbers were from the neighbouring town.I asked him where he was staying and offered to help him get home.He showed me his apartment which was not far from where we were.I helped him up to his house and that's when i noticed that he had no one who could help him since he was all alone.So i helped him clean his wound and then decided to call a doctor to come check on his wound.The doctor was a family friend so he agreed to come see him after i had given him his adress.after i made sure he was alright atleast till the doctor arrived i left him so that i could head to school of which i was already late.I didnt wait for my friend just so that i wouldn't be late but i was even late than her.

On arrival to the school i found the classes had already started so my teacher told me to see her after class for my punishment.So after class i went and was wash the whole class as the punishment.between classes and the punishment the day went on quickly and it was time to head home now.So i decided to go checkon mr.stranger before i head back home.Mr.stranger because amid everything that happened i forgot to even ask for his name.I got to his place and found out that the doctor had done a good job.he wasn't as bad as i left him and he toldme that the doctor said he was lucky because the bullet had just bruised him and the wound wasn't that bad so with the medicine the doctor prescribed he will be ok in no time.Since he told me he had notanything and could not cook i prepared him some simple food then left for home to go meet my dear old dad.i knew i was in trouble for getting home late since school ended hours ago.
