EPISODE 5:“The Lair Beneath”

PROLOGUE — THE PARKING LOT The abandoned parking lot across from I.M.P is a ruin. Rusted guardrails, cracked concrete, a flickering sign that still reads: “$3 ALL DAY PARKING – NO REFUNDS.” At night, the place is empty. Rats chew at soda cans. Loona sometimes smokes here when she doesn’t want Blitz nagging. But tonight… something moves beneath the asphalt. --- SCENE 1 — DANIEL’S DESCENT Daniel stands alone in the middle of the lot, hood up, hands clasped behind his back. He whispers a word in a dead tongue. The ground shifts. Old asphalt splits open, revealing a spiral stairwell descending into the dark. Arcane runes flare along the edges, swallowing sound. He steps down, the stairwell sealing behind him. It opens into a massive subterranean cavern — an expanse carved from obsidian and volcanic rock. Half cathedral, half bunker. Black pillars stretch to the ceiling, where hellfire veins glow faintly. Chains hang like ornaments. Massive stone statues of feline sentinels guard the chamber, eyes lit with cold blue flame. Daniel (inner monologue, low and reverent): “A knight is only as strong as the shadow that arms him. And mine… shall be endless.” He removes his cloak, hanging it on a rack. Approaches a central dais: the Forge. A hybrid of demon-tech, stolen IMP surplus, and something older. Schematics sprawl across the stone table: blueprints for weapons, armor mods, and in the center — the outline of a monstrous stealth jet. Beside it: a skeletal draft of a ground machine. Labeled in crude block letters: ARCHMOBILE. --- SCENE 2 — THE FORGE OF THE CRUSADE Daniel lights the forge with a snap of his claws. Blue fire erupts. Sparks rain. He lowers a gauntlet into molten hellsteel, reforging it stronger, smoother. Holographic projections rise — mechanical wings deploying from the Jet design. A cockpit sealed against both bullets and hellfire. Stealth plating infused with demonic sigils. He tightens bolts, welds steel, his motions rhythmic like ritual. The walls echo with the sound of hammers, sparks lighting his face. Daniel (inner monologue): “The city breeds weapons against itself. Guns. Rockets. Explosives. Let them. For every blade raised… I shall become the armor that denies them.” He tests a panel of armor by raising a stolen rocket launcher from a pile of scavenged arms. Fires point-blank at the plating. Smoke clears. The plate is untouched. Daniel nods once. Satisfied. --- SCENE 3 — I.M.P OBLIVIOUS (COMEDY BEAT) Cut to I.M.P upstairs, same night. Blitzo is pacing his office. Loona’s on her phone. Moxxie and Millie try to play cards but keep getting distracted by the weird sounds rumbling through the floor. BLITZO (paranoid): “Okay, is anyone else hearing the freakin’ construction noises? Like… clang clang hiss boom coming from under my goddamn building?” MOXXIE (nervous): “Y-yeah, actually… I thought maybe it was pipes?” LOONA (deadpan): “Yeah, because pipes usually sound like Satan’s blacksmith banging a trash can orchestra at three in the morning.” The room shakes. Dust falls from the ceiling. A muffled rocket detonation thunders. BLITZO (screaming): “OH MY SATAN WE’RE BEING BOMBED! EVERYONE TO THE PANIC ROOM!” MILLIE (calmly): “Blitz, we don’t have a panic room.” BLITZO: “Exactly! PANIC!” They run in circles. Cut back below: Daniel calmly wipes soot from his armor as if nothing happened. --- SCENE 4 — THE STEALTH JET The camera pans across the half-finished jet. Its sleek frame is monstrous, wings folding like a predatory bird. Runic circuits glow faintly across the plating. Daniel climbs into the cockpit. Holograms flare to life: radar sweeps, flight simulations. He programs silent propulsion, cloaking systems, EMP overrides. A test run: he lowers the jet into a launch canal carved deep into the cavern. Fires the engines. Instead of a roar, the jet hums low — like a beast growling in its throat. The cavern shakes, but holds. Daniel cuts the engine. Sits silently, staring at the blueprints. His reflection in the cockpit glass shows those same cracks under his eyes. Daniel (whispering to himself): “No rest… until the sky itself bends to silence.” --- SCENE 5 — THE ARCHMOBILE SCHEMATIC Later, Daniel spreads parchment across the Forge. Begins sketching with charcoal, claws moving sharp and steady. The Archmobile takes form: a monster of a vehicle, low to the ground, plated like a tank yet sculpted like a predator. Sawblade wheels. Mounted grapples. A riot suppressor cannon hidden beneath armor plating. Notes scrawl across the page: “Bulletproof. RPG-proof. Demon-fire resistant.” “Transform into Pursuit Mode.” “Intimidation factor: absolute.” He steps back, staring at the sketch. Daniel (inner monologue): “They ride limousines dripping with stolen blood. They think their armor makes them gods. Soon… they will know what armor truly is.” --- SCENE 6 — BLITZO INVESTIGATES Cut back to upstairs. Blitz tiptoes into the abandoned parking lot with a flashlight. Loona follows reluctantly. LOONA (annoyed): “This is so dumb. It’s probably just raccoons with power tools.” Blitz shines the light. Nothing. Just cracks, asphalt, weeds. He leans against the ground dramatically. BLITZO: “I swear I heard a rocket launcher! You don’t just mistake that for indigestion! There’s somethin’ freaky under us, and I’m gonna find it!” He stomps the ground. Dead silence. Daniel, deep below, freezes for a split second—listening. Blitz crouches, ear to the ground. Loona rolls her eyes. Then: a faint mechanical hum. BLITZO (screaming): “I f*****g KNEW IT!” He starts smacking the asphalt with a wrench like an i***t. Daniel calmly whispers an incantation. The runes in the stairwell flare, sealing the entrance, masking the sound completely. Above, the hum cuts out. Blitz blinks. BLITZO: “…Okay, maybe I’m just crazy.” LOONA: “‘Maybe’? You’re about three blowjobs away from padded cell crazy, Dad.” They leave. Daniel exhales, turning back to his blueprints. --- SCENE 7 — THE SYMBOL IN STONE The cavern walls are bare, but Daniel begins carving into them with his claws. Slowly etching a massive sigil into the rock: his emblem — a dark feline cross, angular and sharp, wings flaring behind it. When finished, it glows faint blue. A beacon. A promise. He stands before it, cape draped, silent as a statue. Daniel (inner monologue): “This will be more than a lair. It will be a sanctum. And from it… the city will learn fear.” --- SCENE 8 — FINAL BEAT (MORNING) The next morning, Daniel arrives to I.M.P early as always. He sets coffee on each desk. His eyes, more hollow than ever, give away the sleepless night of work. Stolas notices first, frowning. He leans close, whispering gently: STOLAS: “You dig deeper each night, land kitty. I feel it. One day… you may dig too deep.” Daniel bows faintly, not denying it. Blitz barges in, pointing at him dramatically. BLITZO: “ALRIGHT, BUSTER BROWN—QUESTION TIME. Are you building a f*****g meth lab under my parking lot?!” Daniel simply raises a brow. DANIEL (flat): “…No.” Blitz stares at him for a long beat. Then sighs. BLITZO (grumbling): “…Goddammit. Why do I feel like I’m gonna regret not pushing that?” The office carries on. Daniel sits at his desk quietly, but in his mind, blueprints still unfold. Cut back underground — the cavern. The jet’s shadow looms massive against the rock. The Archmobile sketch pinned to the wall. The emblem glowing like a star in the abyss. Daniel (V.O., cold, resolute): “This city will birth monsters until it is buried. And I… will be the grave.” --- TITLE CARD: “The Lair Beneath”
