FORTY-ONE I'm ashamed to say I cried myself to sleep. What had I expected? Nathan had had years of being able to pull any girl he wanted. A damaged doctor who still had occasional nightmares from five years ago wasn't even a blip on his dating radar. When the morning sun streamed in, reality dawned with it. Nathan had given me a precious gift last night, even if he hadn't given me all of himself. He was the only one who could play my body like that and I was profoundly grateful that he had. None of my dreams were nightmares after that. And he did want me – he'd said so and I'd seen it in his eyes. He wasn't the first man to suffer impotence as a result of psychological trauma.
