We dashed into the headquarters' door, fleeing from the darkness.
Elijah's breath caught as he looked behind him. "We must locate a secure place,a very safe place because here is not safe at all”
"Where is it?" I inquired.
Elijah's gaze fixed itself on my own eyes. "The Ancient Temple”
“Ancient temples?Is it secure?.If it's not, please let's look for an alternative" I inquired.
Elijah gave a nod of agreement. "It is safeguarded by strong protective/powerful wards,so it's very much secured and safe.
As we were travelling down we witnessed the moon descend under the horizon.
The darkness appeared to fade away, giving way to a strange stillness.
"What is going on?. This is strange" I inquired.
Elijah's demeanour became serious. "The occurrence of a Lunar Eclipse."
A period of immense strength and vulnerability and I mean immense strength and vulnerability.
All of a sudden, stars shimmered in the sky.
Elijah quietly murmured, “Here is the Alignment that will help you bring balance in Lunar Covenant"
We were covered in a sparkling light for some time.
"Rosemond, concentrate, what is happening here is what you need to fulfil your destiny,so don't get distracted Elijah instructed.
With my eyes shut, I sensed the brightness's power,so heavy.
My mind was filled with visions - old ceremonies, lunar deities, ancient prophecies..
The brightness increased.
"Elijah!". I shouted loudly.
“What is really happening here?.Am not comprehending anything .
Elijah heard me and he responded
The sound of Elijah's voice reverberated. "Rise, Rosemond."
I awoke to discover that I had been changed.
“Changed? How?Why?”
These were they questions that were going through my mind
My hair glistened like the light of the moon.
A sparkling glow emanated from my eyes.
"What occurred?" "I inquired that Elijah's eyes were filled with wonder.
"You've awakened your true potential"
Elijah's eyes were filled with wonder. "You have awakened your full potential,yes you have and no going back”.
I look at my illuminated hands, uncertain how to interpret this change.My hands have completely changed.
"What is the meaning of this?Why will I be the one all these things will happen to?"I inquired.
Elijah's face became serious "You currently have the power of the Lunar Covenant."
Currently have the power? I experienced a sudden onset of doubt.I don't think I have any power.
(There is still a huge sense of unbelief and doubt of what I can do,all emanating from Thane’s rejection .
Each time I remember how everything happened,it still moves me to tears and makes me think less of myself that nothing good can really come out of me).
"What is the method of managing it?" I inquired.
Elijah moved nearer. "Allow me to lead you,I told you am with you.Don’t be in a haste, allow me to guide you”
I listened to him and with Elijah's assistance, I started to utilise my recently newfound abilities .I never believed this was happening but it was so real.
The energy flows within me, reacting to my thoughts.I was still pondering on a lot of things yet the energy was still flowing.
As we were rehearsing, the Ancient Temple's ruins appeared in front of us.
Elijah greeted, "You are welcome to your ancestral home."
“Is it the house of our ancestors”? I asked because I experience a strong sense of bonding.
While investigating the temple, historic relics unveiled their mysteries.A lot of secrets were uncovered,long time secrets and mysteries that have been there for ages
I found out about my lineage - a heritage of strong lunar magic users.
"Elijah, what is the reason for my existence? What is my purpose?" I inquired?"
Elijah's gaze met mine. To bring balance back to the Lunar Covenant.
Bring balance ? I experienced the burden of being responsible.
Out of nowhere, murmurs reverberated around the temple.
Rosemond, be cautious of the inner darkness.
I turned quickly, looking for where it was coming from.
“Where was this murmuring coming from”I thought .
Elijah's face took on a sombre look,then he said:
“There is darkness within you, Rosemond”.
It is a power that has the ability to either destroy or redeem you.
Should you spend or keep money? A chill crept down my back.
"What should I do?" I inquired.
Elijah's eyes were filled with determination. Have confidence in yourself.Believe in yourself.You have all it takes to get this done but you have to believe that it's possible before it will be possible.Kill doubt and have confidence in yourself that you can achieve this.
Is it possible for me to do so?
“Yes it is, very possible”Elijah replied
As we moved ahead, we were surrounded by the energy of the Celestial Core.
"Imagine the balance" Elijah directed.
My attention was on the balance of the Lunar Covenant.
The Core experienced a sudden surge in power.
An image was revealed:
The founders of The Covenant, standing together as one.
Their lunar magic is a guiding light of optimism.
However, darkness slowly advanced, becoming their numbers.
The view changed:
As of now.
The Covenant, ripped to shreds.
The whisper came from Elijah's voice.
“Bring back balance Rosemond.
With a new determination, I lifted my hands.
Lunar energy emerged suddenly.
The temple shook with fear.
I felt the energy of the Core flowing through my body.
I sensed the Covenant's material repairing itself.
Elijah's eyes gleamed with a sense of satisfaction.
Rosemond, you are succeeding.
All of a sudden, a menacing shadow appeared.
Promising to undo all the work that I have done.
"Elijah, lend a hand!" I shed tears.
My power combined with Elijah's.
We worked together to push back the darkness.
The temple remained steady.
The balance of The Covenant has been reinstated.
Tired yet victorious, I looked towards Elijah.
"What comes now?" I inquired.
Elijah's expression became serious.
"The real challenge starts now."
