Episode5: INNER SHADOWS

After the temple's energy diminished, I was tired yet victorious. Elijah looked at me with a proud expression in his eyes.

"Excellent job,well done Rosemond,I am super proud of you"he whispered.

But despite the triumph, a persistent feeling of disquiet remained. Elijah had cautioned me about the darkness inside of me.What do I do with the darkness within me?

"What happens next?" I inquired once more.

Elijah's expression became serious. "We need to find the origin/source of the darkness that is endangering the Covenant"

The Blackwood, Thane's family was what came to my mind.It is their quest for power and control that has triggered this disorder.

"I know the person who is responsible for this"I declared, feeling more determined.

Elijah gave a nod. "Then we can start."

United, we explored the dark areas, manoeuvring through the complex network of Lunar Covenant politics.

While walking, the moon emerged again, creating a spooky light.

"Elijah, what are you hiding?" I inquired in a barely audible voice.

Elijah's gaze briefly shifted, revealing a hidden secret for a moment.

"Believe me, Rosemond," he whispered, his voice quiet yet insistent. "I am dedicated to keeping you safe."

However, doubts persisted due to Thane's rejection and the burden of my new responsibilities.It became obvious that the effect of Thane's rejection has really turned me upside down.It's now very difficult for me to believe.

Elijah have become not only my supporter but my new mate.The way he talks and treats was now helping to healing the wound gotten from Thane’s rejection

His kindness and understanding has filled me with hope and a sense of belonging.

The “me”that thought am useless, nothing good can come out of me and that I can't be loved anymore came in contact with Elijah and everything is happening differently

Thane's rejection caused some significant changes in my life

“If I had not met Elijah,what would my life have turned out to be?”I thought.

His assistance in helping me discover and utilise my untapped abilities that revealed my capabilities as a Lunar Guardian is enough to believe him when he said he is here to protect me.

I should not allow the effect of Thane's rejection to direct my life any longer.

Venturing further into unfamiliar territory, the shadows within me began to stir, murmuring tempting thoughts of danger.This shadow within me always notified me of anything that wants to happen including danger.This time it was murmuring thoughts of danger.

“Where are we going,Elijah?. I'm sensing danger ``.I said.

Elijah that was beside me smiled and nodded his head

“Don't you believe me?”Elijah replied calmly.

“Rosemond, don't worry, you are very safe”.

The more we get closer to this unfamiliar territory,the stronger the nudge that danger is in front of us.

Not quite long after these thoughts ,a mysterious being appeared before us

“Where do you think you are going?”he said "You can move no further.Get back or…

Immediately fear gripped me and I hid at the back of Elijah

Elijah was not afraid at all,he just smiled and kept quiet .

“You don't know who I am and who is standing with me. Leave the road let's continue our journey

The mysterious being or figure just stood, this time around it was growing bigger and fiercer and coming closer.

Right there I was standing behind Elijah,I remembered I am the Lunar Guardian and have some newfound powers and everything that Elijah has taught and shown me.

I stood up from where I hid at the back of Elijah.The figure was still coming towards us.I now knew it was a matter of life and death.It was as though this was the height of it.

I stepped further again with the shadows within me shouting victory, victory, victory as I stepped more further,the murmuring became intense.

Should I go ahead to confront this mysterious figure or not?.I thought aloud,but before I will say Jack,he was already in my very presence.

I couldn't move forward,I can't go back.

I now told myself it's time to act.

A very serious fight ensued between the both of us.Elijah was just standing and staring at us with a mild smile on his face.

The mysterious figure was indeed very powerful,so I switched over to my newfound power and the fight became more intense

Would the mysterious figure defeat me in this fight or vice versa?

Time was the only thing that would reveal this truth.
