I walked to the car with calculated strides and opened the door. I slid in the back seat and smiled briefly at Gladys who was looking all glammed up. She had her hair packed in a sleek bun and her lips looked glossy. She had a few bags with her and at that point, I knew what it was. "I— I don't think this is a good idea," j managed to say.
