Aurora's POV
Nova knocks once, light, careful.
"Aurora." Her voice comes through the door, muffled. "If you need anything, tell the soldier outside. We’ll help you."
I didn't even have the energy to answer.
"Just rest for now. Don't do anything silly, okay? I'll have food sent up, three times a day." A pause, like she's waiting for something back from me. Nothing comes. "I'll check on you."
I don't answer that either.
There are two soldiers outside my door now. I heard them take up position sometime after Nova carried me back, low voices and the scrape of boots settling into place, and I understood without being told what that meant.
I'm locked in.
