Chapter 5:

I was wearing a red bodycon dress, the fitted kind that sat well above the knee, paired with red strappy heels that added a nice height to my frame. Meanwhile, Cheizeru was wearing a two-piece co-ord set consisting of a matching crop top and skirt. We eventually left the VIP room and blended into the crowded dance floor, swaying our hips side to side. At that moment, I didn't care if anyone recognized me. All I wanted was to close my eyes in the middle of the dance floor and let my body move to the rhythm of the music. However, I swallowed hard when I suddenly felt someone's breath brushing against my neck, sending a cold shiver down my spine. There is always that one person who joins in on your dance uninvited. It is so annoying. "You're so hot," a voice whispered. My eyes snapped open the exact moment his hands grabbed my waist. I absolutely despise it when men or strangers try to touch me on the dance floor. Even though Cheizeru and I have made hitting the clubs our go-to stress reliever and hobby, to the point where I’ve grown accustomed to the thick crowds. I will never get used to the perverts who refuse to understand the word 'no' and can't take a hint when I clearly don't want them near me. "Off limits," I said firmly, grabbing his hand to push it away from my waist as I turned to face him. I could see his face clearly despite the dizzying, flashing strobe lights. He was handsome, yet only s*x and pleasure were written all over his eyes. I figured we were around the same age, but we were definitely not on the same page. I was about to speak when he suddenly jerked me toward him. No matter how hard I tried to pry his hands off my waist, I couldn't do it. My vision suddenly began to spin, forcing me to grip his shoulders tightly just to stay upright, which only made him chuckle. Where are you, Cheizeru?! I screamed in my mind, frantically hoping for a miracle—hoping she would suddenly appear and pull me away from this pervert who kept grinding against me. I was trembling all over. It was the exact same feeling from the time I was almost assaulted and r***d. Cheizeru knew how much I hated it when strangers touched me, and how my body would instinctively shake out of sheer terror. But she was nowhere to be found! Where on earth was she?! Oh God... don't tell me she left me here on the dance floor to hook up with some random guy again?! Damn it! Even though my knees were shaking and the world was spinning, I used every ounce of my strength to push him away when I felt his hand beginning to wander up my dress. Stumbling, I quickly pushed through the crowd to leave the dance floor, doing my best not to touch or be touched by anyone, fearing I might actually faint right then and there. "Where the hell do you think you're going?!" I winced as a hand gripped my arm with a crushing force, bringing me to a sudden halt. Drowsily, I looked back and caught sight of the pervert from the dance floor, who was now smirking down at me. How do I escape him when I'm this dizzy and sleepy? "Don't touch me! You pervert!!" I screamed right in his face, trying to yank my arm back. But it was useless. He only tightened his grip. I was too weak for this! God, please send an angel to save me. I promise I'll be their servant for life, I prayed silently in my mind. "And do you really think I'd let you get away now? You've already awakened him." I swallowed hard as his eyes darted down toward his crotch, before raking his filthy gaze over my body as if I were already naked in front of him. "PERVERT! HELP!" I screamed, slapping him across the face with the last bit of strength I had left. Then, I turned and ran as fast as my spinning head would allow. I managed to stumble out into the parking area, but I could still hear the man's laughter echoing behind me. He sounded amused, taking his time as if my frantic running was nothing more than a few easy strides for him. "Ouch!" I gasped as my forehead slammed into something solid. I hadn't noticed what was in front of me because I kept looking back at the man pursuing me, who hadn't even bothered to break into a run. "Darling." At the sound of that incredibly gentle voice, tears of pure relief finally spilled down my cheeks. I forced my blurry vision upward and realized that the "post" I had crashed into was actually Sutehan's chest. "Sutehan," I whimpered, burying my face into his chest as I wrapped my arms tightly around his waist. "Tell me, what happened, hmm?" he asked softly, gently stroking my hair. "There's... there's a pervert," I stammered, tightening my grip on him even more. "Hey! That girl is mine—" The pervert's voice cut through the air, making me tremble violently against Sutehan. I felt Sutehan's chest rise and fall sharply, a clear indication that he was trying to restrain his raging temper while holding me close. "Mr. Gomez, who exactly are you claiming is yours?" Sutehan asked, his tone dropping to a deadly chill. I glanced up slightly and saw a dark, menacing aura clouding Sutehan's face as he glared at the space behind me. He feels like a completely different person when he's angry. Is this really my best friend and boss? "S-Sir... I'm sorry. I was wrong. Please spare my business. Sir—" The pervert suddenly sounded desperate, on the verge of tears as he begged Sutehan the moment he recognized him. I refused to look back, keeping my face buried in Sutehan's chest while his hand gently caressed the back of my head, calming my racing heart. He smelled incredible. His scent was so addictive, as if it were reassuring me that I would always be safe whenever he was around. "Pull my investment from the Gomez company," Sutehan commanded into his phone. He had placed a call the exact moment he recognized Mr. Gomez as an investor tied to his tech company. Mr. Gomez kept begging for mercy, throwing frantic apologies in my direction. Sutehan pressed a gentle kiss to the crown of my head. The gesture made my heart flutter with an overwhelming nervousness, causing me to step back slightly. Turning around, I saw Mr. Gomez literally on his knees in front of us. "Consider yourself lucky that I'm not throwing you in jail. Make my girl scared one more time, and I will not spare your life," he threatened coldly. He then took me by the wrist and guided me toward his sleek, gray BMW. "When am I ever going to run into you on a random night without you crying?" he asked quietly, leaning over to adjust my seatbelt. I caught my breath and turned my gaze out the window. "Did he touch you?" he asked gently, taking my chin to force me to face him. "I know you... when you shake like that, it means something almost happened." I stared into his eyes, suddenly realizing that he truly was the savior sent by God tonight—the one I had promised to serve for the rest of my life. "Shh, it's okay, don't be scared. I'm here, hmm?" he murmured, using his thumbs to wipe away my tears as his hands cradled both of my cheeks. I nodded like a helpless child. A soft smile graced his lips as he kissed my forehead. Right then, my eyelids grew incredibly heavy. Sleep washed over me, and everything went black. I’m glad he never asks what I’m doing there, especially knowing about my trauma with man. These past few months, he has never once made me feel like the bad things that happen to me are my fault, instead, he always insists that it’s his fault. Lord, You truly have the power to create someone this kind, with such a perfect face and body—in short, he’s perfect in every way. But why only one? And Sutehan... is he truly the savior God sent for me?
