FIRST IMPRESSIONS THAT LAST

601 Words
Evening Time What would be more presenting to meet his parents... I asked myself as I stood in front of my wardrobe searching for what to wear. I should look for a beautiful dress to wear. Even if it's not a real marriage,I must look good right? Just then a beautiful pink dress caught my eyes. Yes! This will look good on me. I let down my long blonde hair. I applied light makeup, and red lipstick. I put on a little mascara. I put a necklace around my neck and kept my phone in my black purse. With my beautiful pink dress on and my black heel,I stared at myself in the mirror... This is not even real and I'm looking all this beautiful. I'm doing this for myself not that jerk.... A loud gasp escaped my lips when I stepped outside. A black Lamborghini Aventador was parked right in front of our house. “Wow… what the hell?” I muttered. This was one of the most expensive cars in town. Two men dressed in black suits stood at the front, others at the back, all wearing dark lenses that hid their faces. Why would he send so many men just to pick me up? It’s not like I was planning to run away. As I stepped out, two of them opened the car door for me. “I thought you said you weren’t feeling well.” Oh no. Not again. I turned to see Gasper staring at me suspiciously. “And who are these men?” he asked, then his eyes landed on the car. “Wait… is that their car? Where are they taking you?” “I’ll explain everything when I get back,” I said quickly. “I promise. Just....please cover for me when Mom returns.” He studied my face for a moment. Mom had left a few minutes earlier to visit her friends. “You’re really going to tell me everything?” I nodded. “I swear.” He sighed. “Fine. But you better stick to that promise.” “I will,” I said softly. “You’re the best.” I waved and got into the car as it sped off smoothly. We stopped in front of a beautifully built villa. I frowned. I thought we were meeting his parents… Is this where they live? I walked inside, two of his men following closely behind me. Their expressions were stiff and unreadable. The entire drive had been silent..it was honestly boring. “Where exactly are we going?” I asked. They ignored me completely. “Whatever,” I muttered under my breath. Inside, a clear blue swimming pool reflected the soft evening light. The atmosphere was calm, natural, and breathtaking. Still, something felt off. “I thought we were meeting his parents,” I said, placing my hands on my waist. “Why am I here?” “Relax.” His voice came from behind me. “I asked them to bring you here first.” I turned—and froze. He was descending the stairs with a glass of wine in his hand, his deep blue eyes locking onto mine. His steps slowed. His mouth dropped open. The glass slipped from his hand and shattered on the floor. He was staring at me like he’d forgotten how to breathe. I bit back a smile. “Uh… sorry,” he muttered awkwardly, finally snapping out of it. “Let’s go.” A maid rushed in to clean the mess as I followed him, a small, satisfied smile playing on my lips.
