Hayden tried to lift his hand to rub at his head, but he couldn’t. He didn’t spend a lot of time figuring out the problem. There was a consistent, annoying scream in his head that made him think of a siren. He was jostled side to side, then he felt a thump and the floor beneath him jumped slightly.
