Debbie's POV
Every inch of my body froze the second we locked eyes. He was standing still by the doorway, with his hand still on the doorknob and his gaze was directed straight at me.
A monochrome of emotions flowed through out my veins as I stood rooted to a spot, unable take to my eyes off him.
'This is Debbie. She's a make-up artist that I just met on IG and she's here to do my makeup.'
I barely heard Sharon's reply, as I was lost into the depth of his brown eyes from across the room.
Sharon's sudden soft touch on my wrist snapped me out of whatever trance I was in.
I blinked twice, looking away from his piercing gaze back to the worried expression Sharon now had on her face.
'Are you okay?' She asked concerned. 'You look like you have just seen a ghost.'
Dropping the little make-up brush on my loose hand to the top of the table, I slowly turned around to face her, clearing my throat.
'Um y--yeah I'm fine. I was just a little bit surprised that's all.' I replied quietly for only the both of us to hear.
But his ear picked it up.
'I'm so sorry if I scared you in any way miss. I just didn't want to disrupt the friendly banter between you and my sister. So I had to come in as quiet as I possibly could.'
The sleekness and gentleness of his voice filled my ears, causing a warm feeling deep inside my stomach.
I stared down at my feet, anxious to make any eye contact with him again.
Sharon scoffed and whispered. 'Don't tell me he's the one making you this speechless? Oh Lord!' She exclaimed unbelievably, sighing when I still remained quiet.
'i can't believe this!' She mumbled under her breath and I smiled sheepishly.
What was I doing..
The sound of heavy footsteps walking closer stopped my train of thoughts, each step he took making my already thundering heart grow worse.
'Are you going out? Or you just want to take some i********: pictures?' He asked Sharon, his deep voice reverberating in the room making me bite my lip.
The sound of his footsteps stopped and realizing how close to me he had gotten, my breath got stuck in my throat.
'Yes, to my friend Stassie's birthday party. I'm sorry I forgot to tell you this morning at your office. It skipped my mind.' Sharon replied.
He sighed deeply and tucked his hands into his pockets.
'Okay sweetie. Just make sure you are back home early. I don't want to have to end up embarrassing you when I show up there unannounced when you are not back home on time. Do I?'
Sharon groaned and gave a dry reply. 'No you don't. I promise I'd be back early.'
'And you promise to call me when you get there?
Giving her brother an amused look, Sharon smiled. 'I will call you, don't worry yourself.'
'And also, I want Stassie's home address and phone number in case anything happens to you. Can you type it in here?' He stretched his sleek IPhone out to her and she took it from his hands, groaning and typing everything into it.
I knew it was my cue to stop staring at the floor and to continue from where I stopped from but..
Why couldn't I move?
The next words he said made me freeze.
'Your friend here is really quiet!'
With the sound of his footsteps trudging towards me, I held onto the handle of the chair beside me for support, my pulse surging through every inch of my body.
He stood about three feet away from me and the fragrance of his expensive cologne filled my nostrils. I bit the inside of my lip to stop myself from moaning.
'What is your name?' He asked gently and I quietly stared at his black shiny shoe that was right in front of me.
The sharp sting I felt when Sharon pinched my side made me jump slightly and look up at him.
My eyes locked onto his pair of brown eyes that were staring right back at me.
My already very thundering heart somehow grew worse, the thumping now spreading to the rest of my body.
With his face almost closely to mine, I was able to observe every detail on his face.
His hair was neatly cropped and his eyes were a mesmerizing deep brown with deep intensity, honesty and gentleness shining in them.
His skin was flawless, with a well- defined jawline and perfect lips for kissing making me weak at the knees.
The black button up shirt he was wearing inside his blue suit fitted properly to his muscular physique, with the first two buttons left undone causing his toned chest to be shown.
And the sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to the sides exposing the scattered hairs on his strong, large arms.
I let out a shaky breath.
I slid out my tongue to wet my chapped, pink lips and I could swear his eyes flickered to them for a split second.
Shaking my head to get rid of whatever trance I was in,
What was the question he asked again?
Oh..
'My--My name is Debbie.' I replied, almost whispering.
I felt so small with his large frame literally covering me completely.
He gently nodded and smiled, extending his hand out to me.
'Nice to meet you Debbie. I'm Timini.'
Biting down hard on my lip shyly, I shakily placed my small hands into his larger ones.
Sudden warmth seeped into my skin, heating up my cheek down to my neck and my heart was a beating rumba!
Oh dear!
'Same here Timini.' I moaned out and sudden blood rushed up to my face. Taking my eyes off his, I suddenly had the strongest urge to cover my heated face with my hands.
I just freaking moaned.
I was about to pull away but his grip tightened a small bit.
His eyebrows dipped slightly into a frown and he gently asked. 'Have we by any chance met before?'
'No!' I said quicker than I wanted to.
The rush of emotions coursing through my body was stronger than before and i needed him to stop holding my hands before I did something I was definitely going to regret later.
Sharon cleared her throat beside us and when he moved his eyes to her, I exhaled. It seemed like he had also forgotten she was sitting there from the way he looked at her. I kept biting down on my lips, waiting impatiently for him to remove his strong, warm hands resolutely clutching mine.
'You can please leave us now brother. She still has to finish doing my makeup and the both of you standing there gazing at each other is really wasting my time you know?' Sharon teased.
He chuckled and slowly retracted his hand, clearing his throat.
The warmth faded the very second I was no longer touching him.
I almost immediately started longing for it back.
Picking up the makeup brush from the table with my shaky hands, I turned my back towards him to Sharon's almost glammed up face, continuing from where I stopped from.
I felt his stare burning into my back and the vibration in my hands became worse.
Knowing myself very well, l wasn't going to be able to get anything done with him standing close to me.
The brush I was holding accidentally slipped from my hands, falling onto the floor.
Shit!
He immediately lowered himself to the ground gently and picked up the brush.
'Here.' He then stood up to his full height, stretching the item towards me with his eyes searching my face.
I gently grasped it from his hands and my fingers accidentally brushed his, the warmth I've come to love spreading throughout my body down to the center of my legs.
I looked up at him, locking eyes with him again and a slight frown appeared on the crease between his eyebrows.
'Thank you.' I gently said, a twinge of nervousness showing in my voice.
He gritted his teeth together and the frown on his face deepened.
'You're welcome Debbie.' He breathed out, unrelentingly staring deep into my eyes.
'Debbie sweetie are you going to continue with my makeup please and sweet sweet brother please can you go upstairs to your room and leave we ladies to do our thing?' Sharon called out teasingly.
Timini took a few steps back and my breath came back to me in an instant. I bit the inside of my lip and turned my back to him again.
The makeup..
It seemed to be the hardest thing to do right now.
'I'll be in my room and when you are done, inform me. I'll pay.' Timini said to his sister.
'Yooo! thank you brother timini.' Sharon gushed, grinning excitedly.
'You're welcome sweetie.' He replied and walked up the stairs, not stopping once to look back.
I turned around to look at his retreating form with longing. How the muscles in his thigh stretched while he climbed up the stairs and how the vein in his hands bulging out when he gripped onto the railings of the stairs.
My mouth suddenly seemed dry and Sharon's voice pulled me out of my trance.
You have it bad for my brother, dont you?
I sighed and patted my warm cheeks.
'I guess I really do.'
