Episode 27: The Goddess Who Lied

Aria Valen’s POV The moment I saw the memory... Everything stopped. The battlefield disappeared. The screams of warriors faded. The clash of armies became silent. There was only one image. A memory buried for thousands of years. A memory that should never have been found. The Moon Goddess. Standing beside Malakar. Not fighting him. Not stopping him. Guiding him. My heart refused to accept it. The Moon Goddess was supposed to be the symbol of balance. The protector of wolves. The creator of the Blessed Luna. The one everyone prayed to. But the memory showed something different. Something impossible. "You cannot let them continue." Her voice echoed. Malakar stood before her. "You want me to destroy them?" The Moon Goddess looked toward the ancient kingdoms. "No." A pause. "I want you to change them." The vision shifted. The creation of the curse. The first seal. The separation of light and darkness. Everything began with a conversation. Not hatred. Not revenge. A plan. I pulled my hand away from Malakar. My breathing became uneven. "No..." Lucian immediately reached me. "Aria." I looked at him. My eyes must have revealed everything. Because his expression changed. "What did you see?" I couldn't answer. Not because I didn't want to. Because I didn't know how. How could I tell the world that the person they worship was part of the reason they suffered? Lucian Vareth’s POV I saw the fear in Aria's eyes. Not fear for herself. Fear because she had discovered a truth too heavy to carry. I knew that look. The same look I had when I discovered my curse was created. When I learned, my life was never fully my own. "Tell me." My voice softened. "Whatever it is..." I held her hand. "We face it together." Those words mattered. Because once upon a time, I would have faced everything alone. Now I understood. A burden shared was not a weakness. It was trust. The Vision Returns Aria closed her eyes. And the memory entered all of us. The warriors. The kings. The leaders. Everyone saw the truth. Thousands of years ago... The world was different. Humans, wolves, and supernatural beings lived together. But peace was fragile. The Moon Goddess saw the future. She saw wars. She saw destruction. She saw beings fighting over power. So, she made a decision. A terrible one. She divided the world. Light against darkness. Wolf against shadow. Brother against brother. Azrael’s POV I watched the memory. And for the first time in thousands of years... My anger disappeared. Not because I forgave. Because I finally understood. The person I blamed for my suffering... Was not Malakar. Not even the kingdoms. It was the one who convinced us that separation was necessary. My sister Elara believed everyone could be saved. The Moon Goddess believed everyone had to be controlled. That was the difference. Aria’s POV The vision continued. I saw Elara. The first Blessed Luna. She stood against the Moon Goddess. "You cannot force balance." Her voice was strong. "Balance must be chosen." The Moon Goddess looked at her. "You are too innocent." Elara shook her head. "No." She looked at Malakar. "I simply believe people can change." And that was the moment everything broke. The Moon Goddess created the prophecy. She created the curse. She created the separation. Not because she hated darkness. Because she feared choice. Lucian’s POV I felt anger. A thousand years of pain. A thousand years of believing I was cursed because of some mistake. All because someone decided the world needed control. My fists tightened. "She made me a weapon." Aria looked at me. "No." I looked at her. "She tried." Her voice was gentle. "But she failed." The Appearance of the Moon Goddess The battlefield became silent. The moon above us changed. Silver light descended. Everyone lowered their heads. The Moon Goddess appeared. For centuries, every wolf would have fallen to their knees. But not now. Not after the truth. She looked at Aria. "You were never meant to discover this." I stepped forward. "No." My voice echoed. "You were never meant to let anyone know." The Moon Goddess looked at Lucian. "You carry my greatest mistake." His eyes hardened. "I carried your punishment." Silence. The Goddess’s Confession "You misunderstand." Her voice remained calm. "I did what was necessary." Aria looked at her. "Necessary?" The Goddess looked at the battlefield. "Look around." A pause. "Without my actions, this world would have destroyed itself." I stared at her. "Maybe." My voice surprised everyone. "But you destroyed people trying to save the world." The Goddess looked at me. "You are more like Elara than I expected." Aria’s POV That hurt. Because I realized something. Even the Goddess saw me as a reflection of someone else. Elara. The first Luna. A symbol. A prophecy. A legacy. But I was tired of being someone's symbol. "I am not Elara." The Goddess looked surprised. "I am not my ancestors." The silver mark on my skin glowed. "I am Aria." The entire battlefield became silent. The Choice of the Goddess The Moon Goddess looked at Lucian. Then at me. "You believe love and choice can repair what I created?" I answered: "Yes." She looked at Malakar. At Azrael. In the broken world. For the first time... She looked uncertain. Then something unexpected happened. The Moon Goddess began fading. Not disappearing. Changing. "I gave the world order." Her voice became softer. "But perhaps..." A pause. "I forgot to give it freedom." The Final Warning Before she vanished, she looked at me. "Aria." I looked up. "The greatest enemy was never darkness." The moonlight faded. "It was fear." Then she disappeared. The battlefield remained silent. No one moved. Because the truth had changed everything. Malakar’s POV I looked at Aria. She had every reason to hate me. To destroy me. But she didn't. That was why she was dangerous. Not because of her power. Because she had what the world had lost. Compassion. Aria’s POV The war was not over. The Shadow armies still remained. The world was still broken. But something had changed. The enemy was no longer hidden. The truth was finally free. Lucian stood beside me. "Are you okay?" I looked at him. "No." He waited. I smiled slightly. "But I will be." Because for the first time... I wasn't fighting for destiny. I wasn't fighting for a prophecy. I was fighting for a future where no one had to be a sacrifice. But then... The ground shook again. A new darkness appeared. Not from the Shadow Realm. Not from the Moon Goddess. From somewhere else. Azrael looked toward the horizon. His face turned pale. "No..." Lucian turned. "What is it?" Azrael whispered: "The first creation." Everyone froze. "The Moon Goddess created balance." Azrael looked at the darkness. "But something existed before her." The sky cracked. A voice older than time echoed: "You fought over light and darkness..." "But you forgot the power that created them both." And from the void... Something ancient awakened.
