I glanced over at Rose in the seat next to me as Dr. Han drove a truck along an old highway. Her hands were loosely bound together. I hated that we had to do that but handing her over had to look believable.
I was careful not to touch her. She looked calm, like she did this sort of thing all of the time. I, on the other hand, trembled inside.
