Alina hadn’t slept. She had spent the entire night lying awake, staring at the ceiling of her small apartment, the events of the evening replaying in her mind like a nightmare on repeat. Victor Vasiliev. The gunshot. The blood. Damon’s haunting words: “You’re stronger than you think, Alina. And now… they know it too.” But what did that mean? Had Damon sent her in there to test her?
