“Thanks!” I whispered. For once, I was the one who was blushing. I was just glad the room was dark enough that Steve couldn’t see it.
“No wonder you won so many awards!” he whispered.
I just shrugged and smiled as the video continued on to the next entry in the show.
One of the last few skits near the very end featured that same blonde b***h up front who’d made the nasty remark about Steve. She and her husband, or boyfriend, or whoever the hell he was, were both dressed as guest characters from classic Star Quest, but their skit made absolutely no sense at all.
As far as I knew, their characters had been in totally different episodes, so they’d never even met each other on the show. But apparently, now they were…in love?
