Chapter 22Adam After Steve left the office, I started wandering around the storeroom, not really sure what I should do. I’d heard the bell out at the front door a couple times, but I couldn’t tell if it was people coming or going. When Steve ducked through the curtained doorway with a big grin, I couldn’t help but smile too. “Busy?” I asked. “Not really. Friday evenings are usually pretty slow. Everybody has better things to do on a Friday night than buy vitamins.” I chuckled. “So can we talk a little more?” “Sure,” he said, gesturing at two chairs in front of a long table against the wall. There was a box cutter and a price tag gun on the table which he pushed aside. “So what time do you get off?” I asked. My watch showed it was just after six-thirty. “Umm, not until nine o’clock.
