Chapter 43Steve I hadn’t heard anything back by the next afternoon, which seemed to confirm Patrick Swayze’s suggestion that Adam was so far out of my league, he was in a completely different game than me. So there was nothing left to do but get ready for my return to work. After a whole week of nothing but sleeping and lying around in T-shirts and old sweatpants, my regular khaki slacks and a button-down shirt felt really heavy, tight, and uncomfortable.
