After we’d finished with lunch, we checked the convention schedule, and it turned out Steve had been right. Most of the other convention activities were already winding down. But the name of one last discussion panel really jumped out at me.
“Hey, this might be a good place to meet some new friends!” I said, pointing at the listing.
It was entitled The Fabulous LGBT Characters of Sci-Fi and Fantasy.
Steve groaned under his breath and rolled his eyes, but he reluctantly agreed to go.
