Skye's Pov.

I was woken up by kisses all over my face. And I knew it was Isabella. She is an early riser and she always leave her room and then climb on my bed. If she gets bored she starts playing with my hair and place kisses all over my face which eventually wakes me up. Like now. I guess i slept in. Having peace of mind can do that to a girl i guess. Because when i was working for Matt i never slept for more than three hours. My guard was always on alert. I never knew who i could trust in the hive. I scooped Bella up into my arms and she giggled.

"Morning Princess" I said while placing kisses all over her face. She giggled some more.

"Mama, put me down please. Im a big girl now." She pouted adorably. Which made me kiss her a few more times and she grumbled about the being grown up s**t.

"I will, if you give me five kisses." I eventually say.

She kissed me all over my face again. She lost count because she got distracted with what she was doing. I don't know why she likes kissing my face so much but it was one of her favourite things to do. And i wouldn't dream of stopping her because it was also one of my favorite moments.

Eventually we stopped all the kissing and giggling. We quickly washed up and went downstairs were everyone was. My phone rang,an sms alert to be precise. It was a message from an unknown number. *I want to see you right now*, l instantly knew that it was from Leon. No one had or managed to put such arrogance in a text message. Is he insane? If he thinks i would follow his orders. He has another think coming and where the hell did he even get my number? Whatever it was he wanted to talk to me about i was not interested. And i wanted to stay away from him as possible. Hating him or not I can't trust myself with him, so its best to keep distance. So i ignored the message. I didn't even bother to respond. But three more followed,

*You are mine*

*I will see you at the pack function*

*I love you*

At the last message, my heart skipped a bit. He loves me? What i would have given to hear those words five years ago. And now he says them when I don't care about him anymore, much less what he says. So that leaves me with one question, what kind of sick game was Leon playing now? Since i was surrounded by my family i decided to not focus on Leon or his sick games. He is not why im back here because this place has never been a true home for me. But in someway it was because home is where your family is.

My uncle quickly told us about the pack function. These functions were organized every month for a get together so everyone had to attend. Mostly for bonding and mates to find each other. Just great. The one time i decide to come back here, there is a function happening. Were i will have to see all those people who taunted me but im stronger now so i wont put up with any abuse. But it couldn't have hurt if i had waited a few days coming back. At least i would have missed this function.

We quickly got ready and went to the function. Of course it was held at the compound were i had one of my terrible memories. I definitely didn't want to be here. Or recall some hurtful memories. I have outgrown all the taunts but the pain never really disappear. Nicky, Sofia, Isabella and l wore mini flared dresses with flats. Obviously mine was backless and showed a little bit of a cleavage. It was floral and Bella's was blue matching one of the colors on mine. Nicky's was purple and Sof's was yellow. We looked simple and hot.

We got to the function. There was some music playing. Some people were dancing, others drinking and others sitting around chatting with each other. No one paid any attention to us but eventually people started noticing me. And of course the whispers started. I hated how these people make me feel. Making a serious face I just ignored them and continued to walk and look around. I didn't give a flying f**k of what they thought anymore. Some kept staring but at last they got used to me being at the function. So the whispers and stares stopped but i had noticed that for some reason men were still staring at me. Like a man looks at a woman. With lust and desire in their eyes. Especially the unmated young men. I just ignored them too. I didn't want to give them hope or any sign that i was up for the taking. Bella had joined children her age and they were playing some games, so it was just the three of us now. Sofia continued showing us around and explaining a few changes to me but a woman suddenly blocked my way. She was blond with grey eyes. She was beautiful but her eyes was filled with hate. Great, here comes the taunts. Maybe it wont be such a bad thing because i might make an example out of her and show everyone not to mess with me, much less taunt me.

"He is mine." She said with disdain.

"Who?" I honesty was confused because i didn't know this woman. And who the he was. I mean i just got here. I haven't had the time nor the chance to mess with other women's boyfriends or s*x buddies or whatever they wanted to call them.

"Leon." She growled at me. Oh so this was a jealous fit. And Leon of course.

"I don't care." I reply. She now had a confused and shocked look on her face. Like she couldn't believe that i was serious but in an instant the disdain was back.

"Im just coming from his room and we had amaizing s*x so don't even think about trying to take him away from me." She continued.

Wow insecure much, but as far as i was concerned they can be together and i really didn't care. Thou the thought of Leon with another woman left a sour taste in my mouth.

"Still don't care girl." I said with a bored tone. I guess my tone did it because she huffed and then moved away from us. The three of us burst out laughing.

"Sof i need a drink please. I have a feeling the day is just getting started. Im allowed to drink during the day right?" I ask.

"Yeah you are allowed girl. Even i have a feeling that the day is still young." Sofia replies and then prompted nicole and me to go with her were we can get drinks.

The function was going great and i could see Leon was constantly staring at me. Making me feel like i was some kind a mannequin on a stage. Cant he look away and give me some room to breath? I guess he was trying to see if he could get me alone. Well he can dream on. I will just have to make sure not to go anywhere alone. Leon's family was constantly looking at me too. Making the feeling of being a mannequin increase. What was wrong with all of them? I was still the same Skye whom they humiliated five years ago. Nothing fascinating. Leon's sister had finally gave up and came to me to say hie. I had nothing against her and she was friendly so we had instantly clicked. I had also discovered that she and Noah had mated.

Suddenly there was a small cry and a bruise formed on my arm. I instantly knew that it was Isabella. I had linked her life to mine for protection. If something happens to her, it will happen to me but she will be instantly fine. If something happens to me thou,nothing would happen to her. The miracles of magic.

I quickly made my way towards were her voice was coming from. She was on the ground and i could see that a woman was infront her. Leon and his family had also noticed the commotion and they were making their way towards us.

"Baby, what happened?" I asked Bella while helping her up. She looked at me with teary eyes and my heart broke. I never could stand it when my baby cried.

"Mama that woman said i was pathetic and weak like you, she then pushed me and i fell down." She said in-between sobs. Thou im pretty sure my baby girl didn't know what pathetic meant but i still hated that someone had told her that about me. I turned around to see the woman she referred to and it was Leon's mistress. No shock there honestly. What was her name again? Either way i was not going to spare her. How dare she abuse my daughter?

"Im sorry but did you just push my daughter?" I asked. Anger was clearly dripping in my tone. Most people were focused on us now. After all they had super hearing.

"And if i did?" She said with attitude. As if nothing and no one would dare do anything to here. Much less me. But that untouchable aura she was projecting i was going to defuse it immediately. I have a feeling if i dont put her in her place she wont leave me alone. Just as quickly i had her by her neck.

"I would say today is not your lucky day." I said tightening my grip on her neck and after a few seconds there was a snap sound. Successfully breaking her neck. There, nice and done. Everyone was immobile with shock. I guess they just discovered that i was not human anymore and not the pathetic human.

Leon went to say something but i beat him to it.

"Keep your mistresses away from my daughter. If this happens again i wont spare her life." At that i started to walk away and the women got back up. Gasps were heard. They clearly thought she was dead. But when i grabbed her neck i had quickly cast a protection spell over her for a few minutes. I needed to teach her and everyone else a lesson not to mess with me, my daughter or family.

I had taken a few steps away when Leon's Mom grabbed my hand and said, "Is this her?" I nodded. I knew she was asking about Bella.

"May I?" She continued

I gave Bella to her. Bella was also looking at her with curiousity and so was everyone else.

"Hi Isabella,Im your Nonna"

"Mama,what does Nonna mean?"

"It means Grandmother baby." I replied her. At that her eyes lit up

"My other Grandma?" I nodded and she quickly hugged her and kissed her a few times on her face that everyone giggled. She was just adorable.

"Thank you for telling her about us" Leon's Mom said. I nodded. Isabella's next question however held us immobile with shock for the second time to everyone else i guess.

"Mama,where is Papa,can i meet him today too?

Before i could answer her,a deep voice bit me to it.

" Of course sweetheart,im right here." Leon said forwarding his arms and Bella quickly went into them and hugged him tight.

"Papa,finally i can hug you. Where have you been?"

"I have been looking for you Princess,i just could not find you." He said that to Isabella but his eyes were on me. Clearly what he said was also meant for me.

Everyone was looking at us too. I guess they didn't know that their Alpha can soften and that he had a daughter too.

Leon's father suggested for us to go up to their house so that we could sit down and talk. I wanted to deny but Leon grabbed my wrist tightly,clearly saying that he was not letting me go anytime soon. I made eye contact with my uncle and aunt and they nodded. So all of us made our way to Leon's house.
