"You want me to sing?" Nathan said as I looked up to him. Until now, it was me who had sung for him when he needed an escape. It just melted my heart how he asked to sing for me, right now, when I needed escape. The smile which had left my face, emerged from my melted heart, unforced.
Mirroring mine, his face lit up with a smile too and he didn't just look cute to me. His smile not just opened that cage of butterflies. His smile didn't just pour life into still night. That smile didn't just make the night jealous as how it could be more beautiful even when it was just as silent. It did more.
Even when his lips stretched over a minute distance, they could reach my caged heart, seep through and settle inside for that endless moment.
