The lost mate

Episode 1

Unknowns P.O.V:

Just watching her run around was everything I needed to have my day brighten up! It was Ria’s birthday in just a few days and I could not wait to celebrate my little sunshine’s day.

“I know 15 years old isn’t a special age, but she deserve only the best, and I know the rest of pack thinks the same!”. I said whilst turning towards my husband. He twinned his arms around my waist and we turned back around to watch Ria.

“I know, and it will be the biggest celebration so far, everything is ready, we just need to wait for the days to pass now!” We just stood there, suddenly Ria stopped in her tracks, and turns towards us. She runs up and show her hands filled with flowers. “Mommy, daddy, look at these flowers! Aren’t they just beautiful!? Do you think Nana will like these?” Ria said whilst jumping up and down so we could barely see the flowers!

“Darling, you need to calm down a little, otherwise you will ruin them. And since nana is not coming back for another few days, you need to take good care of them!” I told her in my sweetest voice. I just love how sweet and innocent she is, not a bad bone in her body. I know when she gets older and gain her wolf, she will mature and get a little tougher!

The next few days went passed nicely, and Ria’s birthday was a big success. As we are only a small pack, it makes it even more special. We as a family might only be of Omega blood, but the ranked members adore Ria and happily let us celebrate with them in the castle. I know Ria aspire to become one of them one day. She knows she can only be if she is mated with one. So I hope the moon goddess have matched her with someone worthy of her. Ranked member or not.

~Two weeks later!~

“Attack, everyone get inside” a guard sent a mindlink to the whole pack. Panic erupted in our town, and we could see everyone tried to get all the children in the house’s and guards coming out! I looked around in pure panic as I tried to see Ria, but could not see her anywhere, I tried calling for her but didn’t get a response from her. A guard came running up towards me. “You need to get inside, there are unknown wolf’s attacking us!” He tried to push me inside the house.

“I can’t, I don’t see Ria anywhere! I can’t see my daughter!” He stopped, turned around to look for her, but couldn’t see her either! “Don’t worry about Ria, I will look for her, and so will the others. She will be safe!” I took his word and went inside. God I hope she is safe.

Ria’s P.O.V:

As any other days, it was sunshine and warm, so I decided to go on some of my adventures to explore. I never go far, because I have done that once before, and I got lost. Which resulted in the pack warriors looking for me, and me getting told off by not only my parents, but also the pack Alpha! That was not a good day, I like the ranked members, they always set off time when they see me, but they are stern when needed! I aspire to be like them one day! However, today was different, it was just something in the air that made this day a special one. Not a good kind of special. So to cheer myself up, I went into the woods.

~ Few hours later~

I was wondering back to the house, when I started hearing screaming and saw smoke! I started running. But after a few minutes of running, I stopped in my tracks. The view in front of me was something I thought I never would have witnessed, all the houses on fire, dead bodies scattered. I started walking, but carefully, as I did not want to get anyone’s attention. I was walking towards my house, to find my parents, so I could find an explanation to all of this. I could start seeing my house, and was about to run for it, when the front door opened and my mom and dad was dragged out to the front porch. I got eye contact with my dad, and he mouthed for me to hide or run. I carefully hid in a box, not too far away. But I didn’t want to leave them, so I watched!

“Where is she?” The leader I’m guessing of this group asked my parents. Wonder who they are looking for!

“We do not know who you are looking for, so how can we know?” My dad said back with disgust in his voice. The leader hit my dad, then my mom. I had to cover my mouth, so I wouldn’t scream and draw attention to myself!

“Now, let’s not play any games here. Where is your Luna and where is your daughter?”. Did I just hear him right, is he looking for me? Why on earth would he be looking for me? I’m nothing special, just omega wolf. I’m just fifteen!

“What do you want with either of them?” My dad asked in confusion, I don’t blame him for that! I’m so confused now, I looked over at my mom, and her face and posture confused me. Why doesn’t she look confused? One of the guys in the group noticed the same as me.

“What do you know woman?” The guy said, and the leader turned towards my mom.

“So you are the one with all the facts, not this one!” He said and hit my dad again. Why wasn’t my mom doing anything, she is a very good fighter, she could probably do some damage to these people, enough to run away!

“Hah, I might be the one of us with knowledge of what you seek, but I will never give it to you.” That voice is not my moms, who is this woman, who looks exactly like my mom! Even my dad turned around and looked at her with much confusion.

“Darling, what are you talking about, what is it they want to know, and why does it concern Ri…”. My dad was stopped mid-sentence by my mom giving him the dirtiest look ever.

“Do not say another word of her, I have not gone through all I have for it all to be lost by your big mouth!” My mom nearly spat the words out at my dad! The leader was standing there contemplating something, I don’t like the face he have with it. I used a split second to look at my surroundings, to make sure no one could see me here. Because clearly these people wanted me and our Luna! I wonder where all the ranked members are anyway! Shouldn’t they have been here by now? I turned back around to see all the people giving my dad a proper beating, kicking him, punching him, and even cutting him. By the looks of it, they tried to get a reaction out of my mom, but she didn’t give in to it.

“Okay this is clearly not working, and this woman clearly don’t care about you or your well-being, so let’s just end your misery here. Hold him up!” The leader said. Oh no, I don’t like this, the leader walked behind my dad, grabbed his hair and pulled him back. Just before he cut my dad’s throat, my dad and I got eye contact. The fear in his face, that developed to tears. It crushed my heart, I could feel it break into millions of pieces! And suddenly he dropped my dads head and he fell on the floor. My heart stopped beating whilst I was waiting for him to get back up. This could not be the end of him. The look on his face haunted my thoughts.

“Now that he is out of the picture, can you stop wasting my time and tell me where the Luna and your kid is?” The leader said with what I’m guessing is his last bit of patience!

“Alpha Ken, I will never tell you that. I know of your plans, so I will never tell you! She might not be my kid, but I’ve raised her as my own!” My thoughts was interrupted when I heard this. Hold on, he is an ALPHA?! And what is this about her not being my mom, she is lying right? A new guy came running over, stopped by the alpha and whispered something in his ear. He was clearly not happy about what he was told!

“SHE WHAT? Oh that b****, how dare she do this to me again? What about the girl, any signs of her?” Before the guy could even say something, my mom started laughing. Everyone, including me turned my attention to her!

“Oh my, she actually went through with it, huh? Who would have thought! She actually killed herself. You know what this means? This means she told her alpha, and the beta about the kid. And they will now be looking for her, and they got the same plan as you now, a part from the fact they will find either her mate or a chosen mate amongst ranked members, so that you can never have her!” My mom said with pride in her face. What is it she knows about me that I don’t? Why will they be looking for me? Why will they be looking for my mate or a chosen mate? And why only amongst ranked members?

“Okay clearly this woman isn’t ready to talk. So bring her with us, and we will get the answer out of her later, by force if we must.” He was not talking about torture was he? My moms face went to panic. Was she hoping they would kill her instead? She started to fight the alphas men, to get loose. She finally got loose, stopped and stepped away from them. At the same time she took a small bottle out of her pocket! The group of people panicked and tried to reach her, but she drank the liquid. As soon as she did, she started coughing, and her nose started bleeding. Her face stated twitching, and after a few minutes, she fell to the ground. Not moving!

“Why did he have to underestimate the length they all would go. Okay find the girl, and alive !!” The alpha roared. Who is this guy? Suddenly a mind link was sent through.

“Find Ria at any costs, and alive!” Was that the alpha? Why did he sound mad? Should I be worried? Suddenly, someone came running. Hold on, I recognize that person, he is a pack guard!

“Alpha, the pack got out somehow and is now looking for the girl! Her name is Ria, I know who she is, and where she usually hides in crisis!” The guard said with little breath after the running! Why are they looking for me? The group of people took of running, into the woods, exactly where all my hiding spots are. What am I supposed to do now! Can I trust anyone? Can I even trust my own alpha?
