The Sunlight fell through the vast windows of the Moreno estate, giving their alluring living room a cozy glow. Nina went to the window and sat, her mind still trying to absorb the events of the day. Both Alex and Fiona didn’t even come downstairs since the morning, Gina had served them their meals in bed and Alex had not even felt the need to talk to her. Is this a marriage or a punishment given to her by her father.
There was a loud ring of the doorbell, echoing through vacant hallways and also interrupting Nina’s thought.
A maid opened the door and let in a young lady, who seemed to ooze with confidence which caught Nina’s attention.
The woman was in her early-forties and impeccably dressed in an outfit that screamed both elegance and power. She entered the living room with elegance in every step. Her eyes searched the room and found Nina, who at that moment hastily put on a composed smile.
“Hi,” Emily said with a warm, friendly smile. “You must be Nina, right. I’m Emily, Alex’s sister. It is a pleasure to meet you.”
Nina smiled awkwardly feeling slightly happy, but nervous. “Hello, Sister Emily. It’s nice to meet you too.”
She smiled so genuinely, and reached for her eyes. “Please, call me Emily. I know the marriage could feel hard but don’t get bordered by other’s pressure. I have always liked you since I met you years before though I know you don’t know me” She stated has she sat down her hands tangled with Nina’s hands.
Before Nina could answer, Alex and Fiona entered the hallway talking to each other. Emily looked at the both of them confused.
“Sis, What’s up” Alex said as he went to hug her.
“Alex, Fiona” Emily said with all of the warmth she could muster. “It’s good to see you both.”
Fiona's smile was restrained and polite, but she knew Emily didn’t like her. ”The pleasure is all mine, Emily,” she replied with a sweet voice.
Alex smiled as pecked his sister. “ Hey, Emily glad you could come. There is so much to tell you”.
Emily nodding, still not taking her eyes from Fiona. “I am also happy to be back, but Alex what are you doing with Fiona. You know you are married now, Fiona is your past” she said, sounding a little miffed.
Fiona eyes widened ‘His past’. How dare she call her, his past. She was his present, past and future. She thought has she gave Emily her coldest glance which Emily returned immediately.
Nina found herself grinning. Now she had all the hope and support she needed.
“Why would you say that, sis” Alex said as he looked at Fiona with pity.
“I would say that because I am your sister and I want the best for you” She replied as she walked towards Fiona.
“What are you doing here? Can’t you see my brother has moved on, you should also move. Or are there no men you can gold dig again” She said and Nina giggled loud but the cold glance that came from Alex and Fiona silenced her.
“You can’t talk to her like that, sis” Alex said defensively as Nina thought of how he had not supported her.”
“You know you are married, Alex. Why are you standing beside your side chick, come on, move closer to your beautiful wife” Emily said has Alex did as he was told which made Fiona burn with fury. Alex loved Emily more than anyone so he would do anything for her.
Fiona walked away angrily as Emily shouted behind her. “Pack your bags and leave on time. My brother and his wife need to settle. It’s the first day of their wedding”
Alex also got angry and went after Fiona, which Emily laughed at as she walked towards Nina. “I came because of you and I will make sure you live a perfect life”
Nina looked at Emily with love has she gave her a big hug.
“Gina please get her something to eat” Nina said as she led Emily to the dinning table.

Richard Moreno and Jonathan Black stood in front of the location sent to them.
“Are you sure this is the location” Jonathan asked as he looked around the uncompleted building.
“Didn’t you see, It was the map that brought us here” Richard replied has he tried that number again but it was switched off.
“Foolish Richard, you are so dumb. What if the imposter decides to kill us after our union…. You didn’t even think of informing the police or anybody. You are too forward”
“Are you done? You have always been good at questioning things and that was what ruined our friendship years ago” Richard said at me with fire in his nut-brown eyes.
“And you like to dive in the past. Was it my fault we separated years ago and was I the one that sent Ethan to jail” Jonathan asked still conscious of his environment.
Richard’s brow furrowed. “It was your mistake but our third friend was blamed for it and you didn’t even feel the need to see him in jail”
“Stop making me look evil, It…It was not my fault” Jonathan replied playing victim.
“Then whose was it…. My or Ethan. You know what let us just get out of here, this place is too dangerous” He replied has he made his way to his car.
“Didn’t I tell you that” Jonathan said as he followed Richard to the car with a non-stop argument.
As the car zoomed off, two masculine figures came out of the uncompleted building as the guy looked at his boss confused.
“I don’t get it boss. Why did you call them when you didn’t want to see them” The guy asked his boss who looked at him and smiled,
“I am the boss in this game, all I wanted was for them to argue and I have seen what I wanted now history will repeat itself. And this time Richard will rot in prison for Jonathan’s crime. You just wait and watch”
He said has he headed back into the building while his assistant went after him trying to figure out what his plan was.

The early morning sun streamed into the living room, casting a soft glow over Alex, Emily and Nina who sat on the dinning table having breakfast. While the table was full of delicious meals, Nina wondered which meal she should eat first.
Alex had spent the night before somewhere she didn’t know but she was sure it was with Fiona, but immediately Emily called him this morning. He came rushing home, which gave Nina the assurance that Emily will save her marriage for her.
He was starting in the company has a manager, so after he finished his meals. He left for work immediately.
After he had left for work Emily and Nina sat in the living room as she shared the story of their childhood with Nina. “ Alex attempted to build a treehouse in their backyard. He made it about half way up before he realized that he had absolutely no idea what the hell to do!”
The laughter that followed from Nina was clear and light in tone. “That is not something that Alex could do. He looks...deadly serious now.”
Emily grinned. “Back then, he was awful. But he was always that determined, even if he never really had the talent.”
Nina was certain that Emily will help her make her arranged marriage a love marriage. They talked about every single thing, joking, laughing and giggling.
Fiona watched the scene from entrance, and she was becoming more irritated by what she saw. Her body was near the giant bay door as she stood with her arms crossed over her chest, watching the two women in silence. She scowled, disgusted by the friendship that was building between Emily and Nina.
Fiona watched, her expression cold and irritated as she recognized the way Emily laughed with Nina, how relaxed they both were.
She didn’t want Nina to be close to any of Alex’s family but instead she was close to the most important person in Alex’s life which was Emily.
Alex had spent many years with Emily in Australia, so he considered her his everything.
Emily leaned in closer to Nina and said, “He was never interested in family business but you know my dad, he forces him to do everything. That is why he had to start as a manager in the company…. What about you don’t you have any interest”
Nina smiled “My dad had only wanted me to be a full housewife because he hated girls a lot”
Emily nodded sympathetically. “It’s not always easy. I know how your dad could be” then she hugged Nina.
Fiona saw it and her anger boiled even more from a distance. Alex had promised her that after his marriage with Nina, he would divorce her once the business was stable, but she knew Emily would never accept that. Ever since they were in Australia Emily had dispised her so much.
“You don’t have to worry. Alex would always listen to me, don’t worry” Emily assured Nina which made Fiona even more angry.
“I will make sure Alex listens to me alone, You just wait and watch. As he disrespects you and throws that snitch out of this house” Fiona said has she fumed with anger and walked away.
