"--And you work part-time in a toy shop with Milan." Grandma Tessa told me.
"Who is Milan?" I furrowed my brows as the question came out. I sucks so much to have amnesia, I almost hate my brain for forgetting everything about me.
"Sorry dear, Milan is your sister, she lives downtown and you work with her at the shop."
"Uhm," I pursed my lips, "If she lives downtown and she's my sister why haven't I seen her?"
"Because she's out of the country, for some personal issue, something you knew of but never told us." Grandma replied me.
"Oh." I mouthed.
"Do you want to talk about the accident?"
"Yeah, how did it happen? Leonard told me it was I and someone at that spot and there was an explosion."
"Yes, the police told us later that there was a nuclear element in the area which caused the explosion, the fire was much as a result of car gas and all. The element was not discovered quickly before it started disintegrating."
"Oh," I frowned. "That's so bad, I must be very lucky to have survived it even though not completely as I don't remember anything."
"You shouldn't say that," Grandma shook her head, "The woman sitting and talking with you on that day will give anything to be alive right now."
"Which woman? Did she die?" I asked.
"Her name was Delancy."
"Delancy." I whispered. The name was so familiar, really familiar that it felt I was really close with her. "Was she my friend?" I asked.
"Not really, The both of you met on that day, her death was really sad to most people in the state, she has helped a lot of people and just got married to Zak Torres two years back."
"Zak Torres, what about him?"
"He Is Delancy's husband, of course," Grandma laughed. "He is a friend of Leonard somedays before the accident."
"Okay," I stood up. "I'm going upstairs I'll be back." I told grandma.
I walked up the stairs to my room, Leonard has left the room for me to be comfortable even if i don't think it's okay since we're couples but I felt happy and I don't know why.
I closed the door and took off my clothes, leaving my bra and panties. Tears started pouring from my eyes, I wasn't feeling well. It was like something so big in my life is missing.
I stared at the mirror and looked at the scars at my back, then at my face, "Why don't I remember anything? This sucks!" The tears came nonstop.
"Trace?" I heard Leonard's voice.
I turned to look at him and he smiled at me sadly. He came closer and held me then he hugged me. For the first time since I came from the hospital I didn't flinch at his touch.
"It's going to be alright dear." He assured.

"I want to start working." I announced at dinner, three days after I've gotten close to Leo. I've gotten really comfortable with everyone in the house, I now know all the workers names, everything about the house and some things about me.
"Working? Where?" Grandma asked.
I got confused, "I thought you told me I was working with Leo and part time with Milan."
"Yeah, I was asking where you wanted to work first, you know you can't start working at the shop yet since Milan isn't around to put you through and working with Leonard, I don't know."
"Leo?"
He looked up from his food and smiled at me, "If you really want to start working, you can start anytime, it's our company anyways. I'll put you through on the work and other important stuff."
"Really?" I squealed in excitement.
He nodded. "Thank you!" I leaned in and hugged him.
He gave me another smile, "When do you want to start?"
"Tomorrow definitely."
"Uhm Uhm!" Grandma fake coughed. "I'll be going home tomorrow too."
"What? Why?" I asked her.
"It's time for me to go, you're feeling better and my pets are calling for me already."
"But, who will Gretchen be with when she comes back from school?" I asked, a bit alarmed as I remembered my daughter.
Leonard and Grandma smiled at each other, "Well, she stays with me and you two will come pick her after work." Grandma said.
"Is that how we do it?" I faced Leonard.
"Yes."
I smiled at the both of them as I realized I'll be going to work afterall, I was really excited for the new change and probably I'll regain my memory.
