Chapter 54 - A new Gamma for Winter Moon

1644 Words

Jackson’s POV “So, Alpha,” I address Derrick, trying to sound cordial. The truth was that I wasn’t happy about Derrick jumping to conclusions like that, even if he had grounds to do so. The circumstances were understandably fishy, but he really ought to have more faith in me as a friend. “Did you have any particular reason for knocking on my door this morning? Or was this just a social visit?” “Oh, right. I nearly forgot why I came here,” Derrick begins, and I get the feeling I’m not going to like this based solely on his suddenly odd body language. Amelia looks up from her breakfast, clearly feeling the weird vibe in the room, too. “I’m in need of a new Gamma, aren’t I?” “Sure! Are you wanting my input?” I ask, politely. “I may have a couple suggestions for you to consider.”
