“When did you come back? I didn’t hear you coming.” Emmi spoke out. Eli couldn’t help but show her annoyance at Caspian’s presence. She sure could have never said it, looking in Caspian’s eye. But she wasn’t happy being in the same room as him. Especially when Gannon was there, too. It just makes everything awkward for her.
“We came together. You didn’t know?” Caspian said.
“I thought you were asleep, so I didn’t disturb you. Caspian said you weren’t feeling well at school so we shouldn’t disturb you.” Emmi added.
Caspian knew all hell will break loose if he puts his hands in the fiery pit hole of Elena’s anger. He knew it too well, and so does Emmi.
