I enjoyed the food, but I knew she loved it more than me. I was happy seeing how lovingly he ate all that. Her tension always comes through me whenever we are near. I felt satisfied and content when it didn’t become uncomfortable. Mostly because she ate something, which I knew she hasn’t been doing properly. I knew she wasn’t eating well or she wouldn’t like almost tasting the dust. Maybe she couldn’t tell, but she can't hide it from others to notice it.
I took my plate and glass to the kitchen and put them in the washer as I've seen her doing that. But then, suddenly I heard a clamorous sound from upstairs. My heart sank. I knew it was her. Something had happened. Something big has broken, it sounded like.
