"It's going to be lovely today." And it’s better than even that. My joy was growing like proofing bread, it was multiplying. I felt that carnival sense, like I was a five-year-old again with pearly innocent eyes, looking at this strange world. Around me as I looked at people walking, families, some were couples too walking cozier in each other’s embrace, they wore funny headbands with lights blinking, blinding my eyes and glasses with funny faces and pronounced mustache shaped on it. Their happiness delighted everyone around them, and I was ‘them’.
