A rare peace was in his face while talking about his dreams yet sadness and disappointment lied in his eyes. That disappointment is due to the fact that his dreams will never come true.  "What will you do after graduating Jen?" Matt asked her in return.  Jennie has only one year left to complete her studies.  "Me? Well, I am studying interior design. So, I will go in that line of work…" Jennie's words trailed.  "I got an idea!" Jennie exclaimed.  "Idea? What idea?" Matt asked in confusion.  "Look, you want to set up your own designing company, right?" She asked.  "Yeah." He answered.  "I got an idea for it!" Jennie said and explained her idea to Matt.  "Hmm… Not bad… If this works, then it is a win-win situation for us." Matt said after some thinking.  "I know it will work, just we need some time." Jennie said proudly.  "What good karma have I accumulated to have Ms. Smarty as my girlfriend?" He wondered.  Jennie laughed and said nothing. They sat in silence for a long time, admiring the sky, the city beneath and… the person with them. Soon it was over 11pm. "Let's go Jen. It's almost midnight. Your parents will be worried about you." Matt said breaking the silence. Jennie nodded.  Soon they left the cliff and drove away. Matt reached Jennie's house in half an hour since there was no much traffic late at night.  "Thanks for today Matt. I really enjoyed it after a long time." Jennie said. Matt hummed a yes. Then she got down and started walking towards the door.  Suddenly, he got down from the car, ran and hugged her tight. "I will miss you." Matt whispered.  Jennie smiled and hugged him back. He placed a soft kiss on her shoulder and said in her ears,  "Remember this love, I will do whatever to be with you. Don't leave me, ever."  "I promise."  Matt left after Jennie entered through the door to his house.   ************  At Smith's house.  Jennie entered the house and found her mother sitting in her night robe at the hall.  "Mumma, you didn't sleep yet?" Jennie asked Mrs. Smith.  "It's becoming late and you didn't return yet. I was waiting for you." Mumma Smith said.  "Well, after having dinner at Dean's, we went for a long drive in the expressway. Matt took me for star gazing Mumma. I'm sorry for making you worry." Jennie explained.  Mrs. Smith trusted her daughter.  "It's okay dear. I know we are being overly concerned about you and it might even pressurize you. But we don't want things to happen twice. We can't bear it anymore." Mrs. Smith said as she held Jennie's hands with hers.  "I understand Mumma." Jennie returned to her bedroom after a small talk with her mother. She had a quick shower and laid on her bed thinking about the time she spent with Matt. She felt that she was very happy to be with him but at the same time, her mother's words replayed in her mind.  'Am I getting too fast in getting into this with Matt?' She thought. 'Will my life become like Nutty's?'  'No, no… I won't become like Nutty. Matt won't let me be.' 'He won't let me die like Nutty. He won't be as a shitty boyfriend like that of Nutty's.'  She assured herself. Well, she thought it right about Matt not let her get even a scratch. He will not let her bear any wrong in this life.  Only if she knew that it will be Matt and not her instead.   *************  At Carter Mansion.  When Matt entered the house, he saw his brother Liam sitting at the bar with a glass of whiskey in his hands drinking. "Trying to drink your worries away?" Matt asked mockingly. He came and sat near the stool of Liam's and poured himself a glass of wine. He felt whiskey is too strong for him. "Not now Matt." Liam said calmingly. "Oh really? Well, do you know? Someone so badly wants to see you dead, not minding that it may stain their hands with that filthy blood of yours." Matt said while drinking.  Liam saw him with confusion.  "What?" He asked Matt. Ever since the incident with Natasha, Liam's image in Matt's eyes has been broken and is irreparable. Matt felt all his views about his brother shattered with the way he handled the matter. "Natasha."  One word and all hell broke loose. Both Liam and Matt didn't notice Ivana, Liam's wife, standing at the door, watching them talking about it. The air in the hall was filled with tension that grew every second. "Natasha?" Liam asked after calming his roaring heart. One thing that cannot be removed in his life is her.  "They knew everything Liam. EVERYTHING. Though they want to strangle you to death, they don't want to stoop down to your inhumane level." Matt said and went back to his room. Both Liam and Ivana's eyes trailed Matt and their gazes collided. Ivana felt that it is no use of hiding and going away. So, she went near him and sat on the stool where Matt was sitting a while ago.
