The waiter returned with two cups of warm water and a bottle of red wine as requested by Jennie and Matt. "Here is your warm water ma'am. And your wine sir." The waiter placed them on the table and poured them wine. "Thank you, Mister Waiter!" Jennie said. "You're welcome ma'am. Are you ready to place orders sir?" "Hmm… I will have a plate of chicken lasagna with some stirred vegetables." Matt said. "And I will have some medium rare steak with tossed vegetables and mushrooms." Jennie said her order. "Ok sir and ma'am. Your order will be on the table within 20-30 minutes." The waiter said and left them. "So, Jennie… This is our first date or more so our first official meeting." Matt started. "Well, yeah." "You know about me. Hell, everyone knows it." He chuckled and continued. "I am Matthew Carter, youngest in the family, momma's pet, studying at St. Peter's University, majoring in business and finance, graduating in few months and will work at dad's company in whichever department I prefer." Matt finished. "Whoa! That's still a lot, you know." "Yeah. But I don't know anything apart from the fact that an old driver drops and picks you up wherever you go." He shrugged. "Okay. You know, my father is Norman Smith." "Wait! Norman Smith? The prime minister?" He interrupted her. "Yup. But you would have known it much earlier, I thought, maybe by following me all the way to my home." Matt was shocked when she heard her. "I'm not a freak." He said calmly. "And that's why I accepted to go on a date with you because I trust you. You won't be some lame and egoistic guy, showing off and acting like a total prick." She said smiling. "Yeah whatever." "So, do you have any siblings? Like any brother I need to be wary of?" Matt asked. "Nope. No brothers. But I had an elder sister." She said the last half of the sentence sadly. "Had?" Matt asked slowly. He felt that this sister's matter is something sensitive for her. "Hmm… She is no longer alive. She died." Jennie said sadly. Her eyes became wet. "Hey, Jen! You don't need to talk about that if you feel uncomfortable." Matt said calmly holding her hands in his. "Well, we do need to talk about it sometime Matt. In fact, I have never talked about it, to anyone, even at home. Maa and Paa will become sad whenever Nutty is brought up." Jennie said. She then continued. "You know Matt, Nutty was one sweet soul in this world. She is more like a mother than a sister to me. Older than me by whole ten years, she has been the best sister in the world. But everything changed few years ago. Today, she is no longer with me." "What happened to her?" Matt asked slowly as he pulled over the chair near her and held her in his arms. "She died. She was killed." "Killed?" "Hmm… Killed because she loved someone she shouldn't have." "Who?" "I don't know. Someone from one of the most influenced families. I was in the first year at high school then. Maa and Paa never told me about it. Even Nutty had nothing in her room, like any photos or letters, nothing. It was the most painful days in my life." Tears dropped from her eyes. Matt wiped them off with his thumb. "Do you want me to investigate who is it for you?" Matt asked her. "If I get to know, who is it, then I will never forgive him. He has to pay for Nutty's life." Jennie said with red eyes. "Don't dirty your hands dear. Let me do it." Matt said while planning in his mind to find about it. "You know, you pamper me like this when I am not even your girlfriend." Jennie chuckled while admiring the fact she has got someone who would like her this much. "What? You won't be mine? I already thought you are my girlfriend since you accepted to come on a date with me." Matt acted like crying. "Hey! I was just making fun." Jennie laughed seeing his cry-baby face. "There, there, little cry-baby, I will be your girlfriend even if you don't ask me out." She laughed as she said this. "Really?" Matt dropped his act and asked. "You were acting?" Jennie asked without answering to his question. "He… he..." Matt smiled sheepishly. "Well, you are my girlfriend from now on… You can't look over any men out there." Matt said seriously. "The same goes to you, you can't accept any advances of other girls." Jennie said. "No worries my queen." The waiter returned back with their orders and placed them at their table. "Here are your orders! Bon appetite!" The waiter said and left after telling them to call him if needed. They laughed and joked and ate happily all over the dinner.
