The Friday came as fast as it can. Everyone was happy to know that the weekend has arrived. Many planned to party, have fun and sleep. But Matt was planning something else.
Matthew James Carter or simply Matt, as he prefers, is the youngest son of the Carter family. Owning multiple businesses, excelling in every field they enter, the Carters are a force to reckon with.
Matt is a carefree prince of the family. While his elder brother and sister has entered the family business taking up the field they are interested, Matt is happily enjoying his university days. Majoring in both business and finance, everyone is interested in him. A smart, handsome and carefree man, every woman wants to be his. But his interest lies elsewhere. His interest lies in unfolding the mysterious Jennifer Smith.
Jennifer Smith aka Jennie is the daughter of the Prime Minister of Country B. The only daughter of the family has always been pampered and sheltered from the dark forces of the world. She has had everything she wanted. Her identity was well hidden from the public so that she can lead a common life like others. She has always been a mystery to Matt. A mystery that he badly wants to uncover.
This weekend, Matt planned to ask Jennie out for a date. He felt that he needs to take baby steps to conquer someone's heart. Only then, he will stand firm.
As soon as the classes ended, Matt ran to the department of design to meet Jennie. Jennie was standing near her locker keeping all her things inside. Matt panted when he stood near her.
Jennie raised her eyebrow looking at the dream man of the college standing near her. She wondered what he was doing here. Everyone knows that he is into business and finance, so what work has he here? No one knows.
"Hey! Jennifer Smith, right?" He asked.
"Yeah." She replied.
"Uhm, Hi! I'm Matt. Matthew Carter."
"I know. I mean, who doesn't know you Mr. Carter." She smiled.
"I guess so." He chuckled.
"And what are you doing here? Any sort of help needed?" She asked.
"Uhm… I don't know how to ask."
"Just go on Mr. Carter."
"Call me Matt. Mr. Carter sounds me old." He said while smiling.
"Okay, Matt. Now tell me what can I do for you? My driver will be waiting for me. I've to go soon." She hurried.
A small crowd has formed by then surrounding both. Both has a lot of admirers. When the girls got to know that Matt Carter is in the department of design, everyone gathered around. They wondered what both are talking.
"Okay. I just wanted to ask you out for a date Jen. You and me, you know." He asked.
Everyone gasped. This is a big news! The man who has been like a sage for all the time has asked a girl for a date! A DATE! All the girls looked at Jennie with envy. Of course, their dream man has asked someone else out and not them.
While everyone was surprised and shocked, the person who has been asked out remained calm. She was indeed surprised that Matt asked her out, but she didn't show it out. The man was standing in front of her, like a convict waiting for a judgement.
"Okay." Jennie said.
Matt was surprised. He felt that he was dreaming.
"Okay?" He asked once again to make sure he didn't hear wrong.
"Yeah, I can do that. I mean we can go for a date. Where?" She asked.
"To Dean's, for a dinner. Tomorrow evening, around seven. Is it okay for you?"
"Dean's? Okay, I'm fine with it. Then see you tomorrow Matt."
"See tomorrow then Jen." Matt said.
Jennie waved a bye and went out with her bag.
"Wait a minute, Jen!" Matt shouted.
Jennie turned around to look at him with a question on her face. Everyone was same too. They were in shock that Matt has asked Jennie out and she has accepted it. They wondered why Matt called her again.
"What happened Matt?" Jennie asked.
"I forgot to give you this. Wear this for the dinner tomorrow. I selected this myself for you. Will you, please?"
"Thanks, and I will." She replied.
Jennie then left the college followed by Matt. He felt that his friends would question him about the ruckus he has created surely. He himself couldn't believe that Jennie has accepted to go on a date with him just like that. He felt like he was dreaming.
'I am definitely dreaming. Did she say yes? Oh my god! What to do!' He wondered.
Matt never slept the entire night due to excitement about the fact that Jennie has accepted to go on a date with him.
Well, he wouldn't sleep, of course.
God: He wants me to help him and when I did, he feels that he's dreaming!!! What was I thinking when I created him??? I must have been mad… Totally mad.
Matt: I guess so. You must have been absolutely mad.
Matt patted God's shoulder.
And God was like "!!!!"
