ALEC “Ah! Damn it!” 
Rose sighs, standing at the door with worry darting in her eyes as much as it is etched on her face. She shakes her head, “I can’t even watch this anymore, Alec. You have to stop!” I ignore her, squeezing my wrist so that my veins can bulge out more clearly. I gnash my teeth, tracing my tongue over their warm, ceramic-like surface and brace myself for the searing pain. I place the needle on a vein and slowly inject the deadly liquid once again into my bloodstream. 
This time, I am unable to suppress the pain that ignites in my body. It feels like my limbs are on fire, my veins threaten to burst into an inferno and a heated rush of blood rushes to my brain.
