ALEC Her words linger as she storms out of the room and slams the door. I frown at the syringe on the table, she’s f*****g crazy. Why does she think she’d survive in Nirvana just because I have been there before? I was a child when I had gone with her father, did she believe I could really remember everything I had seen then? 
 Rose creeps into the room again, peeping out of the door. She sighs, “You said something terrible to her, didn’t you, Alec?” 
Surprisingly, Rose is wrong this time, but I don’t bother to let her know that. 
“She is so confident in her stride,” Rose remarks, a tinge of admiration oozing out of her tone. “I wish I had her graceful waltz. Do you see the way her hips sway? She’s like a beauty goddess.” 
“Go up to my room, Rose. Set a bath for me.”
