JASMINE. I can feel my blood boiling, my heart crunching in pain. My entire muscles contract as the pain ripples through my body. I squeeze my eyes shut, my eyelids burning as well. I tuck my lips into my mouth, stifling the scream that bubbles in my throat. Ethel groans, the pain intensifying. It feels like my skin is slowly pried apart by a molten rod, messy and scathing. A scream bursts from my throat, the pain sweltering madly. “Jasmine!” I can vaguely hear Andre’s voice in the background and the dull scraping sound of the chair before a thuded clatter as the metal hits the carpeted floor.
