The next morning I packed up my limited amount of belongings, retrieved my outdoorsy purchases from a retail shop in downtown Seattle, and rented a Land Rover, which I drove to the base of Mt. Rainier. According to Zeninen’s facts, Marcos’s location was ten miles northwest, hidden in the cumbersome woods, and without any roads in its surrounding area.
