Chapter 12: Visitor in the Night Zeninen stood over my hospital bed. He wore a slim suit, sunglasses, and a Seahawks ball cap. He looked dashing and wise from my Seattle Regional Hospital bed. I had learned numerous things in the last hour from him: a stranger had dropped me off at the hospital and claimed I was attacked by a wild animal; I suffered a concussion, black eye, and two incisions on my left cheek, which were now stitched up by Dr. Desmond Riche; the Land Rover mysteriously appeared at the rental agency where I rented it from. “It was Marcos,” I told Zeninen. “I failed the mission.” The man above me nodded. “I know it was Marcos.
