Chapter three

I paced the small room in a mixture of fear, worry and anger. I detested small spaces and was angry and unnerved at how they would place me in a room the size of my bathroom along with two other people. As I continued to pace I found myself growling lowly in frustration. "Willow, will you please sit down? You are making Landon and myself nervous." luna Bella said with frustration.  Irritated I turned on her and growled menacingly. Her and the boy I now knew as Landon flinched back with wide eyes. I rolled my eyes dramatically, making sure they saw. How could the son of an Alpha be so soft. "You need to do better on raising your son." I said coldly as I continued my pacing. Ya, I may only be 8 years old, but even I knew the son of an alpha should be stronger than the boy sitting in front of me.  "Excuse me?" Bella said, shocked. I sighed loudly. "The son of an alpha should not be as timid and weak as that boy is. He needs to be stronger, tougher, not weak and scared." I said matter of factly. "You are a child. You have no right.." But she was cut off by the alpha. "She is right Bella." He said. "Landon is weak. He need to be strong or he will never take the place of me as alpha." Bella's eyes widened as Landon's filled with tears. She huddled the boy into her arms and rushed out of the room. I couldn't help but roll my eyes again, that boy is going to have a hard time when he gets older if he don't change.  "Willow." Alpha Gabriel said drawing my attention to him. "Did you make it alpha?" I asked hopefully. Gabriel's eyes softened as sadness made itself known. "I am sorry Willow, we didn't. A lot of the pack survived the attack but a lot more were killed, including your father. His last request was that I take you in and raise you and I vowed to him I would."  He kept talking but I wasn't listening. I shook my head as I grasped handfuls of my raven hair. No, he couldn't be gone, he couldn't be dead. He was the only family I have left. Anger suddenly made itself known. It coursed through me in waves, the room suddenly feeling smaller and filled with tension. My body trembled as Jade made herself known, longing to come out and howl her sorrow for all to hear. I couldn't deny her that.  I rushed passed Gabriel at a inhuman speed. I felt as the alpha followed me, but even he was unable to catch up to me. I didn't stop until I was deep in the woods where no one could see me and let jade out. I shifted faster than any werewolf should be able to. My black fur shimmered in the moon light as Jade lifted her head and howled the most broken and sorrowful howl I have ever heard.  I laid on the ground, resting my large head on my paws. Even at 8 years old I was big. I was about the size of a miniture horse and I knew I would only get bigger as I grew. I whined and cried as I lay there, thinking of all the time I spent with my father and mourning the time I had lost with him.  Determination swept through me and I growled. Those rouges would pay, I would rip every last one of them to shreds. "Willow?" a voice came from behind me. I jumped to my feet, crouching down, hackles raised as I growled at my intruder. Saliva dripped from my fangs as I bared my teeth at him in warning. The alpha stumbled back a step before raising his hands in front of him, letting my wolf know he meant us no harm.  Jade relaxed, standing up to her full height as she watched him. Gabriel walked over to us slowly and got on his knees in front of us. He ran his hands through my fur as he stared at us in awe. "You are beautiful Willow. Not only has there ever been a female alpha, but there has never been a pure black wolf. You are amazing." His voice was soft as he took the sight of us in. "You will be a great warrior and alpha. Your training will be hard, rigorous and long. You will train with the warriors every morning before school and every afternoon after school. You will be the most feared werewolf in history" He said as he stood up. With his words Jade held her head high and gave him a curt nod. We were all in agreement. *******Nine years later******* His fist came fast, aiming for my face. I gave a wicked smile as I dodged and used the opening to quickly upper cut him causing his head to snap up and him to fly several feet backwards. "Damn Willow." Damon said rubbing his jaw. "How do you always win? Even as kids I couldn't beat you." I smiled as I walked over to him and reached out my hand to help him up. "Well, I've been training ever since I could walk. My father believed a female should be able to protect herself." I said pulling him to his feet.  Careful, I always had to be careful of what I said. Everyone knew I called Gabriel dad since I was adopted by him. Little did they know my real father was the alpha of the silver pack. I could never tell anyone I was alpha born, I could never shift into my wolf in front of people so I had to train with the warriors in human form and train with Gabriel in secret in my wolf form.  It's not that Gabriel didn't trust his pack, he did, really. But he wasn't willing to take any risks with new pack members coming in as often as they do. See, Gabriel was alpha of the Red Moon pack. One of the largest packs in North America, soon to be the largest as people seemed to be coming every day to request to join our pack. And Gabriel made it mandatory that all men ages 10 and older train so we would be well equipped to protect our large pack. Our numbers were over 800 and counting, a good 350 being men, so with having 350 warriors we were hardly attacked.  "I know." Damon said pulling me from my thoughts. "Well if you knew why do you keep challenging me?" I ask laughing. "Because you are the strongest warrior in the pack. You rank well over any of the other warriors and if I train with you I will get better. If I train with the likes of Landon then I will never go anywhere. He is too timid and soft." He said with disgust.  "Damon." I whisper yelled looking around. "You know not to speak of the alpha's son like that." It was true, Gabriel did not like speaking of his son in any manner. He was embarrassed and humiliated that his son had somehow grew up to be so soft. Gabriel had hoped that being around me would harden him and make him stronger, but the only thing it did was make him more adament to not turn into a hardened and ruthless person such as me.  It was true, I was hard and ruthless when it came to rouges crossing out boarders. I would kill every last one of them, after I tortured and questioned them about the rouges that attacked the Silver pack. So far none have had any information about the rouge attack but I knew some rouge out there had an answer and I was determined to find it.
