Dana' Point of view
The guys all lead me to an elevator. This place has an elevator!
What the hell? I hear Jayden chuckle.
"Baby, I can feel your feelings. And your face when you saw the elevator was just priceless. But we have it because no one wants to walk up and down those stairs all the time. "
I stick my tongue out at him and stepped inside. Both Max and Storm laugh, and Storm press the button to go to the 4th floor. Jayden takes my hand when we come out on the floor and leads me to a room.
"This is us, if you don't mind sharing? Otherwise, I will find another room for me to sleep in for now?" He gives me a dazzling smile, blinks, and I blush a deep red. I don't know what to answer such a question, so for now I am keeping my mouth shut and just enjoy the tour.
When he opens the door, and my mouth drops to the floor. The room is so spacious that my old room would fit in here three times. It is light and airy, with white walls that have painted flowers on them, giving the room some color and making it classy. There is a fourposter king size bed at one side of the room, and on the opposite, there is a big flat screen TV hanging on the wall. Under the TV, there is a little tea table with flowers in a vase. There are off white bedside tables, with night lamps in golden accents, that fit the black bed, with off white sheets and a cover and pillows also sporting different flowers patterns. Beside the bed, there is another tea table with two chairs.
Looking around the room, I spot three other doors.
One, I assume, leads to another bedroom, and one I guess leads to the bathroom, but I couldn’t think of where the third door would go?
"Come on baby, let’s explore our new room." Jayden says as he takes my hand again and leads me inside.
"This door here goes to a spare room or future nursery. And this door leads to the bathroom." Jayden says as he opens the door to the bathroom and I nearly faint again.
This room is almost as huge as a small spa. It has a golden theme to it, with white marble countertops, off white sinks (yes, plural! There are two!), and an enormous bathtub. The shower is something else. It is big with a build-in bench and multiple shower heads, filling all the room in there.
Then there is a remote on the shower wall, and on that you can set how warm you wanted the water, strength and so on. I am in absolute awe of it, and the guys are all beside themselves in laughter. I must have had the most comical face, going around touching everything, like I'm afraid that it will disappear if I don't keep an eye on it.
Afterwards we go out into our room again, and Jayden leads me over to the third door - it is a walk-in closet. I HAVE A WALK IN?! Me? Goodness; I had never owned over three pairs of worn jeans, some warm shirts, some tee-shirts, three pairs of socks and three pairs of underwear. And here I am with a walk in that resembles a mini mall to be exact. They solely dedicated one side of it to me, as the other side is to Jayden. There are dressers, hangers, and places for shoes of every kind. At the end of the room, there are different boxes to hold jewelry. On the end wall, a large full body mirror is hanging, and the lights, I realize, turn on automatically when the door is opened.
After the tour, I need to sit down and heads to the bed. Jayden sits beside me, and the guys sit in a chair each.
"So, sis, what do you think of this room?" Storm asks, and I can't help the smile that forms on my face.
"I absolutely love it! It is so big and airy." I look around and then notice two French doors leading outside. I stand up to investigate. When the doors open, I am taken aback by the beautiful view. It overlooks the garden, and the view here at night is so beautiful, and I wonder how it will look in daylight. Guess I will see tomorrow. I turn around and beam at the guys. I have never felt so at home, but I know I have to talk to them about some of my worries and thoughts.
Storm' Point of view
My sister looks so funny going around everything like it will not be there tomorrow. But I guess that is understandable seeing how she has been treated. I mind-link Sami while Dana is exploring around.
"Hey Sami. I have something exiting to tell you." It takes a second for her to answer because she is far away.
"What’s up, bro? How are the guests doing? Are our mother still trying to get you to take chosen mate?" I could hear the teasing tone in her voice, as she finds it immensely funny how our mother can't leave the topic alone.
"The guests were boring as hell, and yes to the mother question. But that was not what I wanted to tell you. Sami, we've got a new sister - a girl named Dana. She is mated to Jayden, but our mother got pregnant just before we came to live with her and father. But it was by her fated mate, before they rejected each other, to be with their chosen mate." I rambled it all in a hurry, and know she would have questions, but I just really needed to tell her. We are twins and close, so she deserves to know before coming home in a few days.
"I already know Storm. Mother mind-linked me and told me the entire story. She sounds sweet enough, but I need to see her in person before I can be sure."
The blood moon goddess gifted both Sami and me, and similar to Dana, we were born under a blood moon.
Sami can tell if a person is pure at heart, and I can sense poisons, cursed objects, and if someone has bad intentions towards people I love. I silently agree with my sister and cut the link. I'm happy that our mother has told her already, but I wasn't sure if she had been up to it, so I would make sure Sami was prepared.
Dana came inside from the balcony, beaming at us, and I could tell how happy she was. She took a seat on the bed again and cleared her throat. I knew she had things she wanted to discuss with us, so I just waited for her to begin.
"So, guys. I have a couple of questions, mostly about this world and my emotions. It scares the hell out of me that my emotions are so all over the place. And I feel so safe, but can I trust that feeling? Also, why am I feeling tingles every time Jayden touches me? What am I expected to do as a mate, and will the others expect me to call them mom, dad, uncle and aunt now? What about you Storm - you already call me sister? How long am I living here? When will you all tire of me? "
It took me aback when she cries, and ask when we would throw her out. I stand up and take my sister in my arms, ignoring the low growl from Jayden - she is MY sister, and he needs to accept that fact.
I give him a pointed look, and he stares back. We get to a silent agreement, and even though I know he will never be admit it, he is happy Dana found some family here. Family who wants her and will treat her right.
"Dana. You don't have to call anyone anything you don't want to! I call you sis, because that is what you are, and I feel it deep inside! Besides, this is probably a lot easier on all of us, because we grew up in this world, knowing about it all. And we will NEVER get 'tired' of you, so just put that stupid idea out of this pretty head, yeah?!" Dana laugh and cries at the same time, but I can feel her relax in my embrace.
"And about the mate thing. It's like dating, just a lot more intense and people move quick. But you move as slow or quick, as you are comfortable with. As for the tingles, I feel them too. We don't exactly know why, but believe that it is our bodies that recognize the other's soul," Jayden answers, and I approve a lot of his answer with a nod.
"Is this really not a dream?" Dana then ask, and we all have to laugh.
"No, sis, this is very real, and you are now stuck with us three handsome and outstanding guys." She giggles and swats my chest. I stand up, walking to the door with Max on my heel, so Dana can unpack and get some time with Jay alone.
"Sis, mind-link me, Jay or Max, if there is anything at all! We will be here in a flash. You just call out to us with your thoughts - use our scents to guide you if needed be." Then I wave and leave.
Dana' Point of view
Storm and Max leave me to get some alone time with Jayden, and I 'm glad they did, but I'm also really nervous. What did he expect from me?
I take my bags to unpack and go inside the walk in. Jayden follows me and helps put the little clothes I have on the dresser.
"Baby, tomorrow I am taking you shopping. You have nothing, and sorry, but this is not appropriate for my queen." I smile at him, calling me his queen. It gave me butterflies everywhere.
After the clothes, I walk to the bathroom and put away my toiletries. Jayden watch me work but doesn't interrupt me.
"Jayden, I. Eh. I don't know how do to this mate thing. I have never been with a boy, had any friends or well. Anything." I blush while I explain myself. He takes my hand and leads us to the two chairs where we sit down.
"Dana, I know this must be so confusing, but I promise we will take this entirely at your pace. I have waited so long for you, and I will not lose you now that you are here." He holds my hand and then lifts it to his lips. The feelings that erupt in me are so intense that I briefly forget how to breathe.
Jayden chuckles, "baby breath." he says with a dazzling smile. I smile back and take a deep breath.
"I will let you get ready for tonight and get to bed. One of the maids will wake you tomorrow before breakfast, and after I will take you shopping!" I furrow my brows at that.
"Jayden, can I ask you a question?" He nods, and I continue.
"This mansion, it's so out of this world. You've got maids, and maybe cooks." I look at him and he confirms my thoughts with a nod, but says nothing else, prompting me to go on.
"You say you will take me shopping, but I don't want you to waste your money on me. I've got a bit saved up, so I can get myself a little more clothes and stuff." I'm interrupted.
"Baby. This mansion was built 300 years ago. I may only be 18, but my parents are over 150. We do not consider them old per se, but they are also not that young anymore. They had this place thoroughly renovated about 50 years ago, and then updated every 10th year or so. It was designed so that the vampire royalty could have enormous spaces, and every family room was like a small apartment. It's over the top, yes, but it is home. As for you, my love! You are absolutely not a waste of anything! I will use whatever amount of money I want on you, because you are my queen. Besides, my family alone owns multiply companies, vacation places around the world and a few hotels here in America, England, Russia, the Caribbeans, France, Italy, Spain and so on. We are pretty well off, well more than pretty, to be honest. Both Storm and Max's families are rich as well. Storm's family is in the security industry and Max specializes in private investigations, surveillance, and so on. I will almost dare you tell them, my parents or their parents, to no spoil you rotten with presents." He laughs at my facial expression that was a mix of pure horror at the aspect of fighting my new family on this subject, awe at his statement about me and wondering as to their companies. It intrigued me, and I would ask more tomorrow.
"I am leaving this door unlocked, baby girl, then you can come in if you need me or anything tonight. I don't want to rush you, so I'll be sleeping in the room here next door until you are ready for us to sleep together." Jayden says, as he then goes inside the other room. He returned a few moments later with a tee-shirt so big it was practically a dress; he looks satisfied and tells me to wear it tonight. Then he waves and closes the door between our rooms.
I walk to the bathroom, look at the shower, and undress. I set the shower to medium/high warmth and go inside.
The warm water cascade down my long hair, that nearly reaches my lower back. I see someone has been here with a body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
I wash my hair, then my body, before I used the conditioner. It is a wonderful feeling not to have someone shouting on the other side of the door if my shower takes longer than five minutes. My shower takes nearly 30 minutes, and I enjoy the quiet.
Afterwards, I towel dry my hair and put it in a French braid for the night.
Otherwise it will be impossible to do anything with tomorrow. I then slip the tee-shirt over my head, and it smells like Jayden, which comforts me. I do my business and brush my teeth.
When that was all said at done, I walk to the bed and crawl in. It is really soft, and I lay down, turning the nightlight off and drifting to sleep.
It is in the middle of the night when I wake from a noise in my room.
Someone is in here, and it makes my skin crawl.
It is definitely not one of the guys, and I feel the wind blow in our room and I just know they had come in through the balcony door. There are two, and I can see the silhouettes moving towards the bed.
Suddenly I smell something sickly sweet, and one of the intruders speaks.
"We need her alive and unharmed. If she gets bruised, the master will be furious. The chloroform should do the trick." The other man groan, like the thought of not using violence against me is not at all appealing. They move closer, and I panic. What was I supposed to do? When my survival instincts take over, I go with it, and I scream! "JAYDEN"
Jayden's Point of view
I have just closed the door, so my lovely mate can get ready for bed.
It goes against everything in me not to have her beside me or be in our bed together. But I would go as slow or quick as she wanted or needed and didn't want to force anything.
When she started arguing with me about the trip tomorrow, I was equal part pleased and sad - pleased because my mate was not some self-absorbed brat, but sad because she thought that spoiling her was a waste of my money. Nothing about her was a waste, and I was going to have so much fun spoiling her tomorrow - she needed so many necessities, and of course she needed jewelry, a new laptop, a new phone (I wasn't even sure she had one), a tablet or iPad whatever my girl wanted. She needed shoes, dresses and bathing suits. Ugh, the thought of my pretty mate in a bathing suit had me hard again, so I went for the shower to take care of myself. The image of my pretty mate played over and over in my head as I stroked myself, and I groan when I come.
The thought of what it would feel like if Dana were the one pleasing me. I finished up my shower, dried off, and brushed my teeth. I then walk to the adjacent door between our rooms to check on Dana. She was already asleep in our bed, and she looked absolutely peaceful. With a smile, I close the door and go to sleep myself.
A scream jolted me awake. It sent chills down my spine, and I know it is Dana.
"JAYDEN! " She screams my name. I fly out of bed, throw open our shared door, and storm into our room.
She is lying in bed, terrified, as two unknown men stand over her. I run over there and throw one of the men across the room, while mind-linking the guys.
"STORM, MAX GET TO DANA'S ROOM! NOW!" I cut the link just as the other intruder tackle me to the ground. He has a silver knife in his hand, and as we wrestled, the other guy gets to his feet.
He goes for Dana again, and grabs her arm, yanking her with him, the cloth in his hands forgotten. She screams and fights with everything she has, but he is stronger.
The door to her room burst open and Storm and Max runs in. Storm roar and tackles the man holding Dana, so he has to let her go. Max is quick to get her behind him, and find cover at the wall, so he is between her and the fight.
I suddenly feel a sharp pain in my chest, as the man has plunged the knife into me, while my attention was on Dana.
"NOOOOO! JAYDEN!" Just as I thought I was done for, the man is thrown off me and into the wall with such force he goes unconscious. The other man gets the same treatment just a second later. We all look around, but there was no one here but us, and then I felt an aura so powerful both Max and Storm were forced to bow down.
My sweet little mate did this. But how? The aura fated as Dana went limp, and Max catches her before she hits the floor.
I get the knife out just as my mother comes running in.
"Jayden! WHAT HAPPENED?" She yells at me! Fright and anger flowing over her face all at once. She sees the wound, but it didn't face her anymore, seeing as I had, had worse. But the silver sucked, because it meant she had to patch me up for now. Max lays my sweet mate on the bed, and Storm helps me up so I can sit with her.
Max goes over to the two men, while my mother tends to the wound in my chest.
I sit staring at my beautiful girl, and wonder how she had tossed those two into the wall, but she hadn't moved from behind Max. Then something hit me; she had used telekinesis! How in the world of vampires had she done that, and what more did she hold inside her?
"Jayden, what the hell happened?" Storm asks, anger clear in his voice.
"I don't know. I looked into the room before I went to bed, and Dana was sleeping soundly. Suddenly, I was woken by a scream, and then my name. When I got in here, I saw those two hovering over her bed." I nodded at the two bastards still out cold on the floor.
"I threw one off of her, mind-linked you two, and got tackled. You both saw the other one grabbing her when you came in. And she used telekinesis to throw them off us both, Storm, when I was stabbed." Max stands up again.
"They are definitely vampires, but I do not recognize them at all. What did they want with my cousin?" Max asks me. I shrugged, and my attention is drawn to my mother, who opened her mouth, and then closed it again.
"She. She used telekinesis. But how?" I shook my head as to say, I do not know. The room then lit up with a bright red color, before a woman stood before us.
"Maybe I can be of service as to answer some of your questions, my children," the woman says with a smile.
But before she can utter another word, Aunt Kristy burst into the room, closely followed by her husband, my father and Max' parents. Aunt Kristy walks directly to the woman and hit her in the face!
Dana' Point of view
I wake up to someone yelling.
My body hurt all over, and I feel like someone has let an elephant trample on my head. What the hell happened?
The memories all come back at once, and I shot up in my bed.
Everyone went quiet and look at me, and I recognize everyone from earlier, but there is a woman I had not seen before.
Jayden takes my hand, and I remembered; Someone had stabbed him in the chest with an insanely sharp looking knife. As I tear my eyes from the strange woman, I explore his chest. I'm so far away in my own panicked state; I didn't realize I had practically crawled into his lap! It wasn't until Jayden starts to laugh and someone else clear his/her throat I notice what I am doing.
I try to crawl off of him again. but Jayden just snake his arms around me and holds me in place.
"I'm okay, baby girl, I promise. I'll be as good as new tomorrow." He whispers in my ear, while I'm blushing like a fresh tomato.
The woman chuckles, and it seems to set Kristy off, as she yells at the woman. And I realize she was the one I had heard when I came to.
"It's enough," the woman says softly, but the power of her aura makes everyone but me and Jayden bow their heads. This is weird, I think to myself. Shouldn't Jayden's parents be able to not bow down as well, and as if she read my thoughts, the woman answers me. "No, little one. Jayden and you are the next true supreme king and queen of the vampires. Not just high king and queen, but supreme. I made sure you two would have the blood from me running in your veins. You bow to nobody, not even me. But I will still demand respect from the two of you!" I think I blinked a million times before I ask what's on my mind.
"Sorry, but who are you?" She gave me a beautiful smile.
"My name is Ophelia. I am the blood moon goddess, and I am here to answer some of the question your handsome man there holds." At the mention of Jayden being handsome, a jealousy so strong it could kill coursed through me.
A low, deadly growl escapes me, and Jayden says sweet nothings in my ear while rubbing circles on my arms.
As is if on cue, Storm moves to my side and tells me to breathe. The flower vase from the tea table fly through the room before I had the chance, and the woman just sends me a big smile.
"So, it seems that jealousy or fear is a big trigger." Jayden frowns.
"You did that on purpose? She could have hurt someone!" The woman shakes her head.
"She has surprisingly excellent control over her mood and powers. It is only when you felt like it went out of control you threw the vase. Am I right, little one?" I look up in shock at being talked directly at, but I nod, and Jayden tightens his hold on me and kiss my hair.
"So, to get to the point before Kristy started yelling at me," she shot at look in the crowd's direction.
"I will answer your questions, Jayden. The little one holds a great deal of powers. All her basic vampire abilities will be more enhanced than a regular royal, just like yourself young man. She holds the power of telekinesis, being able to tell truth from lie, and of course staying in the sun because of being born under a blood moon like yourself, your sister, Max, Storm and Sami." It went eerily quiet after her revelations, and I could feel all eyes on me.
"Don't worry, little one, I have made sure someone is coming to help you train your powers. He is, truth be told, not one of my children, but he has been here a damn long time and I have grown to like him. And no, before you protest, Jayden, there is no one else, and this man will be nothing but respectful towards you and the little one." Jayden only nods, clearly not liking me being taught by a strange man.
During this conversation, someone I believe to be guards has come in and taken the intruders with them. Ophelia then disappears in the thin air, and everyone but the guys, Kristy and Leon, go to bed again. But not before they snatched me into a big hug from both Jayden and Max's parents.
"We need to talk about this in the morning, and you need to train. But you also need to start meditation, which will help you refocus your energy whenever you get a powerful emotion." Kristy says. I nod, agreeing without a fight, because I know she is right.
She leans in and kisses my cheek, and Leon gives be a side hug before they too go to bed.
"You are not sleeping alone for the time being, cuz, so you can either choose to sleep with all three of us here, or with Jayden in his room with the shared door open and me and Storm in here for protection." I knew they had set up Max to take my anger at the demanding of protection, but frankly, I didn't want to sleep alone.
"I'll sleep with Jayden in this room, and you two can be cozy in there, even though I think it is overkill." They all looked shocked. I actually agreed so easily and I tease my mate and brother.
"I can't say no to my favorite friend, now, can I?" Both Jayden and Storm scowled at me, and I have to laugh.
"Come on baby, let's sleep. We've got that shopping trip tomorrow, unless you feel too unwell for that?" I say with hope. But Jayden just chuckle at my attempt to avoid to be spoiled, takes my hand and lays down.
