Benjamin’s Point of view

Sami changed back. Looking at everyone with worried eyes. “Would one of you say something? Please.” She asked the room. Instead of answering in words, I swooped her up in my arms and hugged her like my life depended on it. “Baby you are beautiful, but how did this happen? A werewolf mark is not poisonous, well as far as I know.” I said pondering what happened. Sami smiled, “I think this is a story for everyone to hear.” We all agreed but Sami still seemed a bit worried, and then something hit me. She had mind-linked me in wolf form. ‘You marked her, so of cause she can mind-link us. But she will still need to me accepted into the pack before a mind-link is made there.’ Odin answered my unspoken question. This of cause made sense but that did not explain HOW she suddenly got wolf.

“I have linked Jayden, Storm and Max. We need them all to come and hear this. They are taking the girls with them. Benjamin will you please tell your sister and Aron? We might need them as well.” My lovely woman asked me. “Lyssa, please come to my bedroom. Sami needs to explain how it happens she has a wolf after I marked her.” I could feel her confusion, “I’m sorry, I thought you said Sami got a wolf?” She asked, “that is exactly what I said. I don’t know what is happening?”

“We are on our way brother.” With that she closed the link. Within minutes everyone was gathered in our bedroom, Jayden and Dana looking tired and a bit disgruntled. “This better be good. I was finally asleep.” Dana said, and then blushed. “Whoa whoa, I really don’t need to know that both my sisters have been..” Storm started, but Sami interrupted him, “but you do need to know why I all of a sudden has a wolf. A badass beauty wolf at that!” She answered with a sheepish smile. Storm swallowed and hid his face in Jordyn’s hair. She giggled at him, “let’s hear what she has to say. Then you can complain afterwards, hm?” She asked, and Storm groaned as an answer.

When everyone was situated Sami and I was the only ones that stood. “So, as you all know; I have something really important to tell you. After Benjamin marked me the werewolf way, I felt good at first. But then my body felt on fire, and like everything was arranging itself inside. I was pulled inside my own mind, where I met with the goddess of vampires and the goddess of werewolf.”

“You met Ophelia AND Selene?” Dana asked taken aback. “Yes, they were both there. Ophelia was not pleased with Selene. She accused Selene of stealing me, by giving me a wolf. But Selene was adamant that this was necessary. My wolf name is Polaris.” I nearly choked on my spit. 

“Your wolf’s name is Polaris? Are you sure Sami?” She nodded, “yes, I’m quite sure. She is a star wolf, and will only answer to the king and queen of wolfs – Galaxy and her mate.” I locked eyes with Alyssa. “This means a war is coming. If the star wolfs are coming back, then something big is on the horizon” Lyssa spoke up. I was deep in thought. The star wolfs was legend, and a tail told to pups before bedtime. The time where the star wolfs walked among us, was a uncertain time. A time where wars between the four fractions of our realm ensued. “Sami, if your wolfs name is Polaris and you are one of the star wolfs, that means the deities are preparing for something big.” Sami nodded, she knew this already.

I searched the room, and the sighed. How much did everyone know about the history of our realm? “I have to ask. Are everyone updated on our realms history?” Dana quirked an eye. “Uh, no.. If I hadn’t met the guys, I would still think I lived in the human realm. I didn’t know anything before these three nutcases came into my life.” She smiled at Jayden, Storm and Max who all scowled back at her. “Aww, don’t give me that look. You know I’m right anyway.” All the girls laughed. I kept my face straight, even though I wanted to laugh along with them.

“Okay Dana, a little history lesson then.” She perked up, and didn’t notice how everyone else seemed irritated or just really tired.

“At the beginning of time there was three sister, who decided to create special realm for their special children. The sisters were;

Selene – mother of the moon and creator of were folk. Werewolf, werecats, werebears, etc. She is the mother and protector of all shifters. She decided that the were kin would find hierarchy themselves, but made the opportunity for creating the king and queen upon need. They would be recognized, obeyed and followed by all shifters. Their aura commanding respect and loyalty.

Ophelia – mother of the blood moon and creator of the vampire kin. She is the mother and protector of all vampires. She decided they would need guidance in the realm and made the first vampire king. All royals have special powers, and do not need to feed on blood once morning and once evening, like a regular vampire. They hold the blood of the goddess herself.

Monica – mother of the magic kin. Witches, fays, wizards and elementals. She is the mother and protector of all magic – light or dark. Like her sister Ophelia, she knew they would need a queen to guide them. She created the queens linage, and the power is given to the first born girl of that linage. The girl becomes the next queen, when the old ones dies. Even though they don’t know, others will recognize their power and aura.

Keres – mother of demons, dark creatures and everything evil. She is the mother and protector of the dark. She made her children to be different fro others.

The sisters all worked and ruled together in harmony, for a long time. They watched over their children, and decided to divide them into four fractions; Ruby Rose (vampires), Amethyst Rose (magic folk), Diamond Rose (were kin) and Obsidian Rose (demons and dark creatures). They mixed the species and fractions whenever they saw a pair match.

But as time went on the sisters became divided. They started to argue amongst themselves, and only had eye for their own children. Especially Keres became envy of her sisters and their children. Seeing hers become shunned, feared and misunderstood. Everyone judged as the same, and no one given a chance. Her sister told it was her own fault, for creating such heinous creatures.

But Keres swore that one day she would make her revenge. She would show her sister who was wrong all along. And so she hid. She hid in the darkest corner of the realm, watching and waiting on her time to strike.”

When I was finished talking, everyone looked puzzled. “I didn’t know this story? And I have studied A LOT about our history, and the different species in our realm.” Jayden said with his brows furrowed. “I know because my teacher in history once met Keres, and she told him. She wanted it to be known, what her sisters did. Even though I believe they will have another version of this.”

Dana’s Point of view

As we dispersed to think about everything, I couldn’t forget the story Benjamin told us, and I decided to head to the library after breakfast. We had been interrupted in our morning nap, and I couldn’t sleep no more. Jayden yawned, and I told him to go to sleep again. He pouted because I wasn’t going with him, and then became nervous. “Last time I let you out of my sight, you got yourself kidnapped.” I scoffed. “I didn’t let myself get anything. And now, if you don’t want to sleep alone or let me out of your sight, you are coming to the library with me.” He groaned. “Nooo baby.. I’m tired.” I giggled at his antics. “Too bad mister overprotective. I can’t forget that story, and I need to know more of our species and realms history anyway.”

“So this realm didn’t exist at first. It was created when super naturals were chased my humans. That is so sad.” I was currently boring Jayden to death with my thirst for knowledge. He was laying on a daybed, closed eyes and pretending to sleep. The pout from earlier never leaving his lips. “Why would people chase someone, just because they are different? I will never understand this mentality.” Jayden faked snored, and I laughed. “Okay, okay. How about I bring these books to the living room? Then you can beat Storm and Max in FIFA, and I can read without you dying of worry?” Jayden jumped up, gave a mega watt smile and helped me with the books.

“Who wants to loose to me in FIFA?” Jayden yelled when we entered the living room. They gloomy faces perked up at once. “Why are all you males looking like someone stole your candy?” I laughed. “Because all the girls decided to have a girls spa day and girls video night WITH sleepover.” Benjamin said, looking at Storm and Aron. Max clicked his tongue. “Yeah, yeah. Quit whining and look at the positive side. We get to have a guys day and night.” He sounded so happy, and I knew Max would feel lonely. He was the only one not having a mate, and it must be so nice for him to have his friends and new friend all to himself. “Hahaha poor guys. Well at least I still have my woman…”

“Ha! That’s what you think big brother. We are stealing Dana for the rest of this day AND night! You can have her back tomorrow.” Jayden’s eyes widen. “Noo, she can’t be without me for so long..” Everyone busted out laughing at Jayden’s desperate tone. “Yeah, keep telling yourself that babe.” I said, as I gave him a peck on the lips. “Come on girls, let’s get this party started. I just need to put these books away in my room.” The girls and I walked away, just as the guys started arguing what they should play and how.
