I slowly stepped out of the king's chambers, gently closing the door behind me and sagging against it, a weary sigh escaping my lips. My hands trembled, but I tightened them around the tray I was holding, closing my eyes as I tried to catch my breath. I took a moment to collect myself, feeling a semblance of control wash over me.
